I wonder who you would vote for to hold corporations accountable.... and the government to take interest and action in protecting our health....
Have any ideas?

Not the party of Joe Manchin, obviously!!!

*sigh* I kid, but that’s exactly how some people here think.

I love when far right wing Republicans say they They care about all these things and the environment and then it continually vote in people that do the exact opposite.

So they don't mean anything they are hypocrites and liars. Tell me you're for sensible regulations and then vote for 99% of the Republicans out there. You're a hypocrite

Maybe if the libs could just die off or disappear already, Republicans could take time away from owning the libs and getting to all of their other policy objectives to save the world.

Well they would definitely lose a blame crutch.

Excuse me? You conclusion is asinine.

Just because I recognize influence peddling has been a fixture for over 200 years in Congress does not mean I am fine with this. It could happen anywhere even in your neighborhood.

Like I said before I want clean air and water just like everyone else and those responsible should be held to account.
"I want clean air and water but continue to vote for the party that makes it legal to pollute both as fast as possible and against the only party that tries to make it illegal."

Semi off topic but there is a growing concerted effort to smear Pete now on the right. I’m guessing the right recognizes that Pete could possibly be a presidential candidate and are taking the opportunity to smear him now.

I called it earlier in the week—all you had to do was read the original local reporting to understand what happened, who was responsible for what, and it clearly delineated between the state/Norfolk Southern response vs. federal response.

But of course, the lying right wing media saw an opportunity to change the narrative and trash a potential Dem candidate in the process.

Why was it so hard to blame Norfolk Southern? Why wouldn’t Fox & Fiends do that?? Why not just deflect to Biden for caving and signing a less effective bill to end the rail strike?? Because they know they’re guilty of worse. Every time.

It seems conservatives only have a 5 minute memory capacity. So they only vote on what the GOP brings up 5 minutes before they fill out their ballots.

This is ridiculous. The EPA was onsite within 24 hours of the derailment. The federal government is LAST on the list to foist blame.

We know the lying right wing media will try to blame Biden when this order is more appropriate.

1. Norfolk Southern (No information that hazardous materials being shipped. Safety and train maintenance)
2. Gov Dewine (refused federal assistance initially)
3. Federal government (least blame not including the previous administration revoked additional train safety regs)

Most going to 1 and 2.

Having said that, the Biden administration is making a tone deaf mistake not going to the town in person. They could send the VP and Sec of Transportation. It would be for show but would send a message the country is not forgetting you. Now there is a vacuum that Trump will fill with lies and conspiracies when he makes his appearance.

My local Kroger was packed yesterday with people buying bottled water in Louisville.
Last night @11 WAVE News reported samples were not currently carrying unsafe levels of chemical runoff from that event. Recent rainfall has helped mitigate any concentration. Allegedly.

Meanwhile, Tucker is blaming Biden, Buttigieg, and Democrats hatred of white people as the cause of the train derailment and response... his insanity is beyond compare, but MAGAs lap it up like the one and only true gospel
