It really is great....I just spent 2 hours in the 100 level dungeon thingy and died at level 59...dammit. I had gained 3 levels while I was in there. :|

LMAO. Same thing happened to me like 30 minutes ago :(

I was in there for like an hour and died at like 68 or something. Sucks big time.

Do you know if you exit after like 10 levels, when you go back in, will you be at the level you left off?

I also just got Bowser :)

Haha me too, I died in the mid 60's. Crap. This game is AWESOME. And SO MUCH longer than I thought. I figured for sure I would be at least half done with it by now. I also just got Bowser too. I think this is my favorite Wiii game to date.

I didnt f it actually....brought it to someone to get modded, and HE f-ed it up. Which was the entire point in bringing it to someone else in the first place, but oh well... all I'm going to say is don't bring your Wii to someone else to get modded unless they can absolutely guarantee you (and show you another Wii) that you will not leave there without a working wii.

All I need is a DVD drive really, but replacement parts arent exactly abundant either.

Just went back in and gained 2 levels (you have to start from the beginning, I left at level 40), then got Bowser...the game really seems to be picking up around Chapter 3. First 2 chapters were a little slow, but now it's fun as hell. Both me & my gf are addicted. :D

Yeah, ignoring the overtly kiddie titles, many of the first round of games have been near misses. Basically right now theres:

- A few excellent exclusives, built for the Wii: Wario, Wii Sports, Paper Mario, Zelda, Elebits, Sonic, Rayman, etc

- Half Decent DS Ports - Trauma Center, Cooking Mama.

- PS2/XBOX/PSP Ports - All pretty much garbage, with a few exceptions, which you've probably already played.

Devs need to learn that you can't just dump ports with hacked controls onto the system and expect people to buy them, unless its done with very great care (Zelda). Unless its created from the ground up for the Wii, its usually a pretty sorry sight. Nintendo doesnt rush out their games, built directly for the Wii, and they end up being high quality. And then 3rd parties cry that non nintendo games dont sell well.

The perfect example is the new bowling game coming out, which looks horrendous.

Basically, if you can find it on another system, youre probably better off doing so.

Most notably is The Godfather. The Wii version is definitely an improvement over the other versions.

No doubt. If they did, we'd already have a Mario Tennis, Mario Kart, Mario Super Strikers, plain Mario, and Fire Emblem game. WHY DON'T WE HAVE A MARIO TENNIS, MARIO KART, MARIO SUPER STRIKERS, PLAIN MARIO, OR FIRE EMBLEM GAME YET??? :( Fire Emblem is out in Japan already. I'll pick it up the first day it's available in the US, whenever that happens.

Yeah, I'm really hoping for a decent tennis game. wii sports is ok, but the lack of control is frustrating. I don't think I've heard about anyone doing a tennis game... although, I see incorporating the nunchuck and wii remote would be difficult. controlling only w/ the wii remote doesn't seem like it'd work at all.

We need a wireless nunchuk before a tennis game would work very well.

The Wii didn't go over well with my friend.

Of course, I forgot to bring Wii Sports though.

We played (well tried to anyway) Red Steel, but split screen on a probably mid-20s inch tv screen sucks, not to mention the controls. We then played Mario Kart: Double Dash and that was fun until we ran out of tracks. We played one of the Metal Slug games which I like but I'm not too sure he liked it.

I think that was about it though. We didn't play Rayman or the GC hockey game I had (which is odd because he loves hockey). I don't think he's too much of a console guy.

So, I don't know what to do with it. It sits there collecting dust most of the time, but every now and then i like to play a game of something or other and maybe something else will come out later.

i got a sub to nintendo power magazine and every time they rate a wii game, it gets like a 7...like every game is just average. It feels that way too.

So far there are a few great games (Zelda, Trauma Center, Paper Mario, Tiger Woods, Wii Sports), and a WHOLE LOT of mediocrity. Aside from VC stuff, theres not a whole lot in the pipeline for the near future. Towards the end of the year games like Resident Evil, Metroid, and Smash brothers will come out and put some more life intot hte product, but for the summer, you might as well go outside and play.

I've got Wii Sports (obvously), Zelda, Super Paper Mario, Super Monkey Ball, Wario Ware, and Madden 07. I think all are pretty good but I haven't gotten into anything too much. I've played the most of Sports (boxing I don't like though) and Monkey Ball next which I've played before so I sorta knew what to expect. They implemented the Wii Remote pretty well in Monkey Ball... it was a little hard at first to control but I got used to it pretty quick. Wario Ware is fun but I suck.

I also picked up Metroid Prime for the GC for $10 and that is one awesome game. I can tell I'll be playing that for awhile. I've also got a few Virtual Console games (Super Mario World, Gradius III, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Country) which are good and I've played them before so again sorta know what to expect.

Resident Evil IV (which has gotten universally positive reviews) is supposed to be great, one preview said it could be the best version of the game. Mario Party 8 should be cool also. I got the system and Zelda for $300 and wasn't sure at first, but I'm definitely glad I bought it.

How do you like it? I started playing The Godfather on my friend's Xbox last year and liked it quite a bit. I saw a review on GameSpot and the main problem was the controls could get a little weird, but it got a decent review.

As fun as the wii is, Nintendo really needs to improve their online strategy. Friend codes for the system are bad enough, but seeing that Mario Strikers has its own friend code (according to IGN uk) is than an indication that all games will? That's just completely stupid.
