I think the current date is May 29th.
 
Anyone seen any comparisons of RE4 for Wii and PC? Only RE title I don't have on GC yet and undecided which version to get.
 
Umm, have you seen the PC footage of RE4???? It's worse than the PS2. From the few screenshots/videos, the Wii version has been slightly enhanced from the GC version. So since you've waited this long, just wait until it's released in the summer for the Wii.

I decided to purchase the wii the other day. Great system. My gf and I played it for 12 hours straight the first day, mainly tennis. I kept checking to see if it would overheat but it was always cold. Very strange.

The only time I notice it getting hot is when it's in standby mode where the wifi card is on but the fan isn't running.
 
I'm loving mine 🙂

How do you get other people's Mii's on your console for parades and crap? Do you have to register their name?

I also can't seem to find the Wii thread where everyone posted their Wii numbers.

Last but not least, how does the Wii 24 connect work? I have it enabled, but always have to wait for weather and news updates.... isn't it supposed to be downloading them constantly?

No doubt. If they did, we'd already have a Mario Tennis, Mario Kart, Mario Super Strikers, plain Mario, and Fire Emblem game. Here's how you do it: Go sync up your controller to their Wii. Go to the Mii channel. There's a button on the right side (Wii remote) that you can click on to copy Miis (up to 10 at a time) to your controller.

Sync your controller back up to your Wii, transfer the Miis onto your Wii. Profit!

Unfortunately, you either have to have incredible luck or just wait in front of a BB on Sunday morning. I was there during memorial day at 9:45AM (they open at 10AM). I wasn't even there for a Wii, just to get an ad so I could PM Office Depot. They handed out tickets for the Wii. No more camping is required, but you still have to get to the store before they open.

Just a heads up, but the majority of Wii's sold worldwide since mid May have legs cut off on the drive chip to make modding very, very difficult.
 
I got one a couple of weeks ago and I only have Wii Sports and Zelda- which is way awesome.

Does anybody have any suggestions for party games? It seems Wario Ware gets good reviews so I may pick that one up as well as Wii Play which seems to be pretty "bleh" but seems to make sense to pick it up to get another remote and a so-so game.

How is Mario Party 8?
 
I picked mine up at CC. Wii play with the extra controller. $10 for more minigames? Hell of a deal. Pool is fun and I love the cow racing. The tank game is also quite addictive.
