So...back to the topic: Why is the NC GOP doing this before the gubernatorial primaries, when there are still two Democrats in the race and the commercial will be long out of their minds when NC holds its general election for governor in the fall?

You know why.

I really don't.

If they have limited resources and they want to get a Republican governor elected, they'd wait until the fall.

Assuming they were gonna run it now, the only reason I can think is to encourage Dem voters to go for Hillary.

Maybe they wanna see the Dem primary contest extended, maybe even a convention fight?

But that seems a bit farfetched to me.

Fern

Apologies for quoting myself, but seeing all the coverage about this commercial really had me thinking about WHY NOW?

Well, I finally came up with something that might make sense. Obama has been credited with bringing in a lot of new voters, getting them registered as Dems.

Well, the Repub party in NC is certainly gonna want to restrict that as much as they can. The (new) people/voters are likely to vote a straight Dem ticket meaning all the less likley any Repubs are gonna get elected to NC state office.

The huge amount of new voters registering here as Dems has been well publicized in our newspapers. This must have been worrying to the state Repub party. This must be their best response to limit this.

It's the same divide and conquer method used by the southern financial elite since the civil war- playing working class whites off against blacks. It's always worked, of course, even though those at the top just see us all as slightly different shades of n!@@er... and treat us accordingly."

That's really the basis for the Rev Wright's remarks- that we're doomed to God's damnation for our acceptance of it, even moreso for disseminating it, even in a backhanded sort of way..."

Repubs apparently want Dems to run Hillary in the worst way, this smug attack being just one more example..."

and lupi responded with:

"You an absolute idiot if you think the color of skin, place of birth, or anything else makes you immune of or prone to racism."

Aside from the fact that this is wrong, as another poster pointed out, it has nothing whatsoever to do with what Jhhnn said. It is as related to Jhhnn's comment as it is related to purple.
--------------

a: And it is not a fault of either of us .. we are cooperating right now in apparent obfuscation.

M: I don't know what this means either.

a: You take a lot of words and an analogy - at least - to say with nearly the maximum amount of words ,what you say over-and-over and self-hate is the beat to your message.

M: I'm supposed to worry or care?

a: For example .. you were "about" to thank Jhhnn?
- for doing what you said you couldn't do, yet you added to what he said with another "reference to self hate" that implies that you are also a pig creating a sty.

M: Not what I couldn't do. I agree with and know what he said. I am fatigued by the endless need to say the obvious over and over again when the same old crap will still get repeated. I have the energy, however, to tell jhhnn, who has good insight in my opinion, why what he said works out as it does. Showing how everything in the world comes back to self hate is what I do. I see it as key to human survival. We either wake up or go extinct, as I see it. Unconscious self hate is leading us to extinction. It's the E=MC2 of the future, the obvious truth nobody wants to believe.
Well did you thank him, or were you just "about to" ?
--And your entire premise is wrong. You are no Einstein [sorry :p]
in your world E does not = MC2; you have NO proof

a: And how do you know how a "self-hater" feels - not all share your personal experiences nor is all self-hate necessarily destructive or a self-fulfilling "fake"

M: How do I know. Hehe, I wonder. I've taken some journeys into what I feel and knew other divers. We are all the same. The personal is just detail. We all feel like the worst in the world. Can you please tell me some of the benefits of self hate? I'm curious.
Yes, How DO you know your journey is "typical"? No we are not the "same" ... Your God's "one shoe fits all" is insane"; he is full of hate and says he is "love" - he says you have "free will" but he will execute you if you really try to use it - that IS insane!

You yourself have given the benefit of "self hate"; without it you would not be aware; there is nothing to compare with in your perfect DULL new homogenius "Big Father" world
a: Actually pigs are clean by nature and you must not confuse the domesticated and unnaturally kept varieties of the "pigs" in your example - with pigs.

M: Must not? The ones I refer to are very unnatural in my opinion. I don't mind relying on stereotype to make a point.
Your "pig" are not pigs .. you make them into something "unclean" like the superstitious Jews did; i thought your god makes things "perfect"; you appear to be disgusted by his work

Now we have Rev. Wright trying to *explain* .. and he IS saying Obama is a "POLITICIAN" and He is a "preacher"
.. good move

Apoppy, I'm also interested in hearing the rest of that new Wright interview. From the little snippet shown it's almost like he's sailing BHO up the river out of spite.

Q:what did you think of Barrack's speach on race in philedelphia

A: Barrack's a politician and I'm a preacher. He had to answer as a politician.

Some serious WTF brewing there to me.

Obama needs to be asked those questions, he's the one who kicked wright off his campaign. if the words were simply taken out of context, why did Obama condemn what he said?

Just look at MCLame - he is SO smug as he tells his dogs to "wait"
:clock:

Late October he will unleash them to Savage what is Left of Obama
- look, they are showing *more* of the clips .. so we seem the same - what white people see as "craziness" - repeated over-and-over

Obama already lost .. his last chance is to deal with Hillary - Today

Maybe you should ask the jews...oh wait.

I can't seem to find video of the sermon with the US of KKKA comment, so I won't comment on how anti-white it is. I can't find the complete sermon about Hillary either, but the part I did find basically says 'Hillary doesn't know what it is like to be black' I am not sure how that is anti-white. Also, there was no mention of her not being able to lead the black people. Really, all that clip I saw said was that Hillary doesn't know what it means to be black.

the IRONY is that he IS NOT "anti-white" ..
- the rev is being demonized and obama by association with him

analysis complete

Obama will lose without dealing with Hillary today - i recommend he accept the VP spot - in 8 years America will "know" Obama and race will not be an issue like today

it is premature to attack now .. Obama is doing an excellent job of castrating himself and Hillary is just giving him a little "taste" of the Republican Fall campaign

Obama needs to drop out as Presidential candidate and take the VP with Hillary

at this point obama has too much baggage to be considered VP. Hillary would do well to pick someone that nobody has heard of, or someone who has already gone through the motions of being put under a microscope and came out smelling better than obama

The party doesn't actively encourage democratic participation like the Dems do, and the rank-and-file Pubs pretty much vote how they're told to vote. The talking heads on hate radio will squawk a bit about how the party candidate isn't as conservative as they might have hoped for, then cry out "OMG LIB-ER-ALS!" right before the general, and they'll all run down to the polls and pull the (R) handle out of fear.
That you actually believe this is quite disturbing...sure, there are some Republicans who cast their vote based on what Evangelical leaders or right wing talk radio personalities say...just like some Democrats vote based on which candidate or issues their unions/interest groups support.

To say one party promotes democratic participation, and the other consists of robotic drones, is laughable at best. Such attitudes explain why there is such a partisan divide in America right now.

On the issues, McCain can't distance himself from the most unpopular president of the modern era, GWB, because to sum up McCain's policy in one word, it's McSame.
The McCain of 2000 posed quite a contrast to GWB, and there is no doubt that McCain has a problem with the fact that he closed ranks with the NeoCons in recent years.

That being said, I think McCain can make a stand on this issue in that some of GWB's policies had promising potential...it was GWB's incompetent leadership that doomed them to failure.

McCain can salvage core conservative principles under the guidance of a competent leader...I fully expect McCain to project himself not as another GWB, but as a true Reagan conservative.

I did find that response by Vic interesting. He has turned the rhetoric up big time over the past couple of months. Must be election season :D

Democratic drones consist of union shops, blacks, gays, and feminists. When you grab 90% of the black vote 100% of the time. Those people arent thinking. They are simply pulling the lever. And while vic will talk about talk radio. Has he ever heard the radio commericals the DNC puts out in the south to scare blacks into voting democrat? I almost thought they were a parody from SNL. If I was black, I'd be offended.

I don't fault oil execs for voting Republican. They pulling the lever for what's in their own best interests, just like those union shops, blacks, gays, and feminists. The same cannot be said for those voting Republican simply for issues like abortion, gay marriage, etc.

And McCain a "true Reagan conservative"???

I saw some bits of the Wright interview the other day. He calls Barack a "politician" for distancing himself from Wright, implying Barack felt compelled to say it but that he didn't really mean it. I don't think he's doing Obama any favors here.

Probably emotion, from what I know of his politics. The same people who are attacking Obama for his 9/11 comments now did nothing when Falwell and Robertson made similar comments.

Wright's emotion? The interview shows a calmer, gentler Wright. There's really nothing he can say that will help Obama so it's best for Obama if Wright just went away. Obama's whole message is that he is NOT a regular politician so to have his spiritual advisor of 20 years and the center of a media firestorm proclaim Obama is "just giving political answers" is b.a.d.

a: Well did you thank him, or were you just "about to" ?

M: I was about to quote his statement directly and thank him, but lupi farted before I could so I quoted his statement instead. That's all I meant by about to before I was diverted from just doing only that. It was intended as a thank you to his post and then went on to lupi.

a: --And your entire premise is wrong. You are no Einstein [sorry ]

There is only what all can become. It is only useful to use the word God because, although He does not exist as people imagine, He is still real and everything we need.

One more thing, I appologize for saying Wright said 9/11 was an inside job. Its so hard to keep what you crazy liberals say filed under the right person. What Wright said was that we deserved 9/11, more or less.
