That's a lot of errors! Can you separate out aborts from actual computation errors?

They're not what you would normally think of as "computation errors", such as the errors caused by overclocking.

Most of these are configuration errors. Get a task -- it can't run and dies -- get reported back to the server 2 seconds later. Rinse and repeat. It makes for a LOT of errors, even though it might be only a small number of hosts causing all the errors. This phenomena occurs with CPU programs too. All these errors don't have much of an effect on the server, or the overall progress of the project, but it does produce some impressive (albeit unnerving) statistics.

Yes, people DO run their hosts and have thousands and thousands of errors and never do anything about it. Somehow, they don't notice, or don't care. Maybe the computer's primary use is as a space heater. Actually, this hurts that too, as the computer spends more time communicating with the server and very little time actually crunching, so it's not producing nearly as much heat as it should be.

In about 3 hours my 780Ti will finish a WR WU. I can put it back on the ponies or keep it on the stallions. It will take about 78 hours to finish another WU on the stallions. I also have 2 additional WUs coming on the stallions in another day or 2 and I'll put those cards on the ponies when they are finished (GTX460 and GTX570).

Opinions. Keep 780Ti on stallions for one more WU or move to ponies?

My vote is for one more stallion WU. Since those stats were posted we have now fallen one more spot to 11 in that challenge. I should be able to complete 4 more stallion WU's before the challenge is over, but it will be pretty close on 2 of them.

I may have just lost one. One of my machines rebooted for whatever reason, and now the WU says it's at 100%, but is continuing to run. stderr.txt all looks normal, except it shows the estimated time to completion as 0.

It should be at around 60%, so I'm probably just going to allow it to keep running, but there's a good chance that ones going to fail validation IF it ever even finishes.

On a brighter note, though, I was able to get a different machine up and running last night with a 6950 and it has already turned in its first Pony WU.

That's what I'm hoping. That machine has 2 GTX 480's in it, though, so what I decided to do was suspend it for now, which should allow one more task to just barely make it by the dead line, and the other task that was running was at around 60% so when it finishes that card will hopefully finish the 100% task before the deadline.

The downside being that will mean that machine will not have a chance to do any Pony WU's, so my showing in that challenge will be not great(I do still have several CPU WU's working, though, and my 6950)

We're about the same relative distance from EVGA, so that's good.

I don't really know what's more important at this point. We do have a better lead in the pony race, but CPUs are likely to have more of an effect later there.
