I just want to take the time to say that BOINC estimated time to completion on the CPU WUs is way off. It estimated 176 hrs for one, and now that they accumulated 146 hrs, they're only 46% complete, and estimate 90 hrs left.

So I really hope my batch of six CPU WUs completes on time. (1045T)

Yesterday we were 1,918,386 points ahead of Crunching@EVGA
Today the lead is 1,737,532
They caught up 180,854

I sent in my last Stallion WU so the 7950 is doing Pony WUs. That should help slow up EVGA

I have one that just started up on a 7950 a few hours ago and I'm pretty certain that it'll have plenty of time to complete. (they need between 80 and 84 hrs on my cards, and by my count there are roughly 116 hrs left now)

I only ask because our grip on 7th position in the Stallion race is much more tenuous than our place in the pony race. So every extra Stallion could be the one that makes the difference.

1. My first WR WU took 120 hours at a default 1000 clock.
My second WR WU took 116 hours at 1050 clock.
The race ends in 114 hours

2. At what speeds are you running your cards for PrimeGrid? I usually run this one at 1180 on MW@H without errors with temp of ~80C.

I added another GTX460 to the ponies 24 hr back. In about 6 h I have another GTX 460 that will finish a stallion WU so will move it to the ponies. In about 17 hours my GTX570 will finish it's second stallion WU so I will move it to the ponies. In 50 hours my GTS780Ti will finish it's second stallion WU and after that I will move it to the ponies. At that time I will have the above GPUs + a 660Ti all in the ponies.

We were up 60 WUs
They caught up 11 in one day.
There are three and a half days left.

I finally just reset them to stock. As I mentioned sometime before, this amounted to reducing core clock by 25%, but it barely impacted WU ETA (from stderr.txt). I guess that the limiting factor must be elsewhere than the core (memory, be it system or video, PCIE, storage or simply CPU speed.) which I find odd given how GPU intensive these tasks are.

In other words, my 880Mhz 7950 take between 80 and 85 hours for these tasks. Probably down to the CPU, I guess.

The OC'ed speeds which have proven to be stable for MW@H for me were just too much for Stallions.

YIKES!!!

Seems like not enough sand in the hourglass. That, and you all, just refuse to be caught.
We were able to pull some hardware from folding when wu's were scarce but it seems some have gone back, but some of our stallions are switching back to pony too.

It might be CPU, but it uses very little of it so I think it is PCIE slot. The video card is at only x16 1.1 (not 3.0), do you suppose this could make such a huge difference? (it does MW@H WUs in 30 seconds!)

I really don't know. In any case, my two 7950s are each running at 8x PCIE 2 (which AFAIK is pretty much the same as 16x PCIE 1).
