EVGA is catching us quickly now! At this rate, they'll catch us by Friday and the race doesn't end until Saturday. I'm on the board now here too, and I'll have 9 more WUs to dump. Anybody else got CPU work they're returning soon?

I should have at least 10 more CPU WU's turned in before the challenge is over.

I also just switched 2 GTX 480's over to the Pony WU's yesterday.

It may end up being too little too late by the time I get them up and running, but I just received these in the mail today and plan to put them to work on Pony WU's to try to hold off EVGA:



The picture is pretty blurry but it's a GTX 480 and 2 GTX 470's. It's old tech but my 480's I already have do pretty well at DC projects for only paying ~$100 each.

Looks like 13 may be unlucky for us. Anybody still working on any Stallion WUs?

On the other hand, remember that all these WUs have to be validated. And at least 10% 6% of returned work for the Stallion race hasn't validated. So as long as no one overclocked too much on this TeAm, we might wind up higher again.

Been crunching all along. My poor 1045T, she can't take much more of this!
(Says 28hours left, will they complete in time to count? Got six CPU WUs on the 1045T.)

The other WU, must have been from my i3 machine. There should be four of them coming from that box.

Well, looks like my Pony WUs on the 1045T won't make it. What good is a challenge, if a semi-reasonably-fast CPU cannot even participate, Slightly pissed.

They should have made the challenge GPU-only.

Edit: There must be something wrong with that machine. 280hours elapsed, plus 28 hours to go, is 308 hours, which is a little over 12 days. But this challenge was 15 days, right?

I also noticed CoreTemp listed the "max" temp at 85C, which I don't understand, because with all six cores fully loaded, temps were 35C. TJMAX is only 70 or 75C for this CPU.

There have been odd "clicking" noises emanating from that side of the room too. I wonder if the CPU fan is dying.

Edit: Think it's a bad sensor reading? Or is it possible to get a stock-clocked and -volted Thuban up to 85C?
