Here is how controlling the post office can steal the election

Never underestimate the little people. If Trump wants to slow ballots, they'll find a thousand ways to bend the rules to deliver every fucking ballot they can. It'll be a giant fucking conspiracy, I'm telling you...

Look at Belarus that guy is a professional thug with 30 years of experience, dead political opponents in his wake , and a complicit police state, and even he's having a hard time controlling the situation. Trump is a joke.
I'm not saying that it'll be successful. I'm saying the smart thing is to be prepared.

If removal of sorting machines and drop off mailboxes was for “cost savings.” But how many millions spent in labour to remove them? Bet they were paid overtime.

Hell, lots of people not working right now. Sounds like we're ripe for a volunteer postal army.

USPS oversight hearing moved up to the 24th. Lots of even conservative Dems calling for the Postmaster to be subpoenaed to appear and, if necessary, arrested by the House sergeant at arms if he does not comply.

Seems increasingly likely the House will go back into session sometime next week.

To me, the kicker is people not getting their meds. Trump pulling the plug on the USPS won't exactly make him popular with people who depend on it. He's desperate. He'll try anything, anything! 81 days.

They will find some way to blame the Demon-rats so that they can still vote for the Reich.

Right-wing authoritarians don't have to find some way. It's built in.

If the Demonrats would just let Trump make America great again, none of this would be necessary. Unfortunately daddy has to stop the Demonrats by hobbling the USPS to prevent a deep-state coup.

Good advice for people who feel unsafe about voting in person but now fear the USPS will be unable to deliver a “mail-in” ballot in a timely fashion.
There is a way around it:
1. Request a mail-in ballot.
2. Do not mail it.
3. Google your supervisor of elections to see where you can drop off your mail-in ballot. Its usually NOT THE POLLING PLACE. All states allow this!
Here is what you're accomplishing by doing this:
1. You're not relying on the USPS to get your ballot in on time, so no matter what, your ballot gets in on time.
2. You don't have to worry about standing in long lines and risking infection. You're just stopping by to drop it off.
3. You still voted! Hooray!
Also, when you drop it off find out how to track it online to make sure it is verified. California, Oregon, Washington Colorado have systems that can track your ballot just like tracking a package from Amazon.

Those things tend to blow up in the regime's face. Innocents will be killed, it will be all over the news, there is no coming back from that for Trump or GOP. Trump is not a skilled dictator to manage the chaos and his hold on power is already weak.

Yeah...This is how dictators gain power. Surround oneself with people who will become comprised, and can only protect themselves by protecting YOU!. If you make sure that if you go down, everyone does, then they will only dig themselves deeper and deeper in fending off the law and legitimizing illegal behaviors.

This is one of Trump’s many problems. He insists on personal loyalty above competence. And he scapegoats his followers for his own failings. The results are he has one of the most ineffective administrations in history. The brains of the Republican party are over in Congress. They’re the dangerous ones. Donald Trump can’t steal this election but Mitch McConnell might steal it for him. The question is whether McConnell feels it’s in his best interests to do so.

Why would McConnell do all the work and take all of the risk of breaking the law and throwing out the Constitution in order to make Trump dictator? Mitch’s problem, of course, is that the free press has made a large percentage of the population aware of who (one of) the power behind the throne is.

Trump’s the only person dumb enough and entitled enough to expect other people to set up a dictatorship and then hand it to him.

Maybe to you, but I'm not laughing. To me, Trump is an abomination.

So yeah, we really are turning into a dictatorship.

For what it's worth... My sister-in-law and her husband both work for USPS. They've both been there almost 20 years! Anything I post about it I just hear from them.

A person could be inclined to think the president is not smart.

The damage has arguably been done. Between the drop boxes and sorting machines, and damaged public perception, how many do you think won't vote by mail that would have? We saw in 2016 it only takes the right thousands of people to swing a state, not millions.

What if he is just convincing his own voters not to vote?
