Take me baby!

Oh man...I love that image. I only hope that Georgia can run with it and replace Jabba with fat Carrie Fisher. that would be awesome to see--fat Carrie Fisher clinging to and slobbering on hot bikini Carrie Fisher.

:D

Well, Carrie has dropped quite a bit of that weight and looks fine for a lady of her age - and if you haven't watched 'Wishful Drinking' then she's already talked about always being assumed to be 20-something at 50.....

You know, I always hated the original Star Wars movies. But adding things like this "Nooooo!", a rock in front of R2-D2, and an Ewok blinking, really changed my opinion on these movies. It's amazing how those little touches really make a difference in the overall feel of a film, a definite improvement.

At this point, how can it be anything other than hilarious? Disappointment ended several years and many alterations ago.
Pretty much this.
hahahahahahhaha.

Though I'm sure his madness is not yet complete. there will be 4k releases down the line, and terrible 3D releases before that.

I was going to jokingly ask why he hasn't yet bothered to "update" the prequels, but it appears that he has tossed in a CGI Yoda for Phantom Menace.

The humanity!

:D
At this point I've come to the conclusion that he's deliberately stirring up controversy to sell more Blu-Rays.

Troll on, George. :|

"I feel a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced."

I'm really considering not buying the Blu-Ray set now.... These changes suck.... I wouldn't care so much if the original versions were included......

Like I was ever going to buy them. :D

George can kiss my ass.

Can he tongue it too?

I personally could care less what he does with the movies from here on out. I still have my vhs trilogy pack and I'm never going to give it up.

I like the movies, with the additions, without the additions, doesnt really matter to me. I have the 6 on dvd, blu ray is a must buy for me.

I guess I'm just not so obsessed with them that little changes will make me be a miserable wise and beautiful woman.

The only real problem I've ever had was the "nnnoooooooooooo" on EP 3, other than that, great movies.

One day the technology will be available that we can all make our own perfect version of the trilogy.
Mine will simply be all original scenes but with restored audio and video.

Why would anyone want a bluray version of a movie that's so old the transfer wouldn't be anywhere near HD?
Bwa, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! Thanks for the laugh.

I've never brought it up before. And just because the resolution of the film is sufficient that doesn't mean it's free of artifacts and "fuzz". There's lots of old movies transfered to blu ray through film and you can tell the gap in camera technology used back in the day vs. now. Today's cameras and tech provide a much cleaner picture vs. the old days. Blowing up those artifacts to blu ray just enhances it.

I'm not saying all old movies look like garbage and all newer movies look glorious, but I'm just stating that just because the resolution is enough doesn't mean it'll be perfect.
Oh, man. I'm crying tears of laughter.

Ever hear of DNR? It clears all that right up at the expense of true detail. You must be one of those people encoding studios have in mind when they use hated such hated techniques.

Sadly, it's confirmed.

Have checked with all the good people I know in "the scene". All the group rips (such as CHD) have the "Noooooooo" in that scene.

What a shame.

Ah, and may I add that the ominous, brooding "Bring my shuttle!" order in ESB has been forever changed to a bored-sounding "Alert my star destroyer, to prepare for my arrival."

All we can hope for is for some talented tweaker in the Originaltrilogy forums to use the transfer on these new releases to restore the films to what they once were. As for Lucas, he can go play in traffic.

I think that jar jar, or at least other gungans, should be put into all of the movies in the back ground.

I gave mine up when I moved from Chicago. left them in the lobby of my building.

they were the LB special edition, two. those bastards were $90, new. :(

It's not like I had a VCR, anyway. :\

LOL! I have the theatrical version widescreen laserdiscs... and the letterbox-but-not-anamorphic DVDs... and yes, still got the player for'em too :p

But, seriously, this has got to stop. Someone please make Lucas a martyr before he becomes a fool.

lucas has always been a fool.

however his savant status was properly utilized in the 70's and 80's. now that he has total freedom, we're just lucky he hasn't bought a small country and gone nuclear.

Forgive my ignorance here, but has anybody ripped the original laserdisc versions? Is there like a torrent of the original movies in digital format?
