No one's mentioned booze?

I know it's kind of a given, but I know my buddies collection is starting to get out of hand.
Grey Goose, Ciroc, 3 different bottles of Patron, Johnnie Walker Red, green, black, gold, and yes.. blue. A whole lot of other stuff too including a lot of fine wines. His alcohol + wine collection + drinking sets = more then my total net worth atm :( And this isn't counting just beer he stocks to drink.

One thing for me is Books. Drop a couple bucks here, couple bucks there, etcetc. I have a lot of books. I had to buy a lot for college, and i buy a lot for my own recreation. In relation to this hobby is the constant need for more bookshelves :D

Friggin cars. There is no good reason for one person to have four cars, but I just can't help myself...

Well, there's Carmac, he owns a personal space agency, research lab and whatnot. I mean THAT has to be quite an expensive hobby.

- Writing/Recording music in my home studio: I've spent nearly $20,000 on gear for my home studio.
- Making cars faster: After multiple engine and custom transmission swaps, turbo kits, bottom end rebuilds and headwork, I've learned never to add up the receipts.
- Collecting music (over 900 store-bought CDs)

Bicycling: just bought a $5000 full suspension Intense Spider mountain bike. I also have a $500 road bike. Travel, race fees, and maintainence can up to several hundred a year.

Kites: I only buy stunt kites on clearance at hobby stores ($50).
R/C airplane: Luckily it is limited to the Aero Ace ($30) thanks to ATOT.
Swimming: goggles ($5) + trunks ($20) per year. Yay! Cheap!

Astronomy is the most expensive of my hobbies. I only have about $5-6k in my setup, but some astrophotographers have as much as $25k.

Yeah - I loved autocrossing but it just required too much of a time/money commitment to be competetive.

Scuba Diving, I have spent about 4k on gear and classes, add in another 2k for all the dives I have done. Damn expensive but very very worth it.

eh, I'm not competitive.. it's just fun. I haven't reach that level yet. I autocross w/ the bmw club here and they are real laid back, which helps. I've heard the local SCCA events are really ... strict. One of these days I'd like to track the car for the hell of it.

Large amounts of craftbrew beer, audio equipment, computers, collecting odds and ends for use in experimental music, and tubas (by far the most expensive "hobby" [profession] I've ever undertaken).

Mostly cycling - I've probably spent $20K on bikes over the years, and currently have roughly $12-13K worth of bicycles. I am also a watch collector, but nothing too extravagant - I probably have $3K into my watch collection.

;) The first thing that came to mind for me was coke habit - fortunately I don't have one! Didn't have time to read whole thread - someone else may have claimed that one.

By the way, WTH is a coach purse?
