I like a few, Glenlivet, Macallan, Glenmorangie 18, etc.

Have you ever tried Aberlour?

my Scotch experience has only limited to what restaurants and bars serve: Glenlivet and Glenfiddich. I had Johnny Walker Green Label a while ago but I forgot how it taste, cuz I was young and blasphemically mixed it with coke)

I look forward to Macallan and Glenmorangie various offerings when i get my next payraise and can actually buy a whole bottle... 🙂

I heard Oban is very good, but @ 60 bucks a bottle. I will pass.

used to golf.....$5 per ball.....fvck that was expensive now i just bowl and play games although i've had to tone down the gaming due to paying college tuition

Horses & their stuff (via girlfriends),
Sailboats & their stuff (via me)

are the 2 terrifically expensive black holes for $$$ that've come & gone (thank God!) through my life.

i actually did pull the trigger on $600 of stompboxes once. i've made good use of them, though. at any given moment, i'm using up to $4000 in my signal path from guitar to speakers. ouch.

just wait until i finally give in to my obsession with cars... 😉

Haha, actually that's a good guess, one of them is an EH deluxe memory man. I'm getting it for 140 new shipped instead of 240 😎

Other two are more boutiquey, dunno if you would have heard of them.

Cars, wine, and watches. My dad and I are looking to put around at least 30k into a 57 chevy bel air NOT counting the car itself. We are also doing most of the work.

I have some hobbies that could be ridiculously expensive, but I don't overdo it.

Photography
Travel
Home decor
Collect - watches, briefcases, and used to collect sports cards.
Edit: Forgot mountainbiking and tennis used to be one.

I enjoy Scotch but never pay over $30 a bottle

the cheapest bottle of single malt you can get under 30 are the Glenlivet and Glenfiddish... and that's only if they are on sale. What do you have?

anyways, mine is wine.

The best of the cheapies is Speyburn 10yr It's what I generally have on hand for 'daily' drinking.
My brother-in-law IS Scottish, we've had 20 or so different kinds I'd guess, and while there are some damn fine whiskeys, neither of us will turn our nose up at this $20 bottle.

And The Speyside (not to be confused with Speyside as a flavor profile, though this is an examle of that) is very good too.

dj'ing sucks the money right out.

my tts need to be replaced (with used technics - hopefully like 300-400 for the pair which is a damn good deal).

need to replace my mixer wiht a rane ttm-56; probably like 600ish.

i bought two mackie srm450s and two srs1500 (i think) and that set me back like a ton of money. i also have a pair of sony headphones that ran somewhere near 150 bucks.

not to mention singles are like 4-5 bucks a pop (and a lot of times, more than that).

also, as a side desire, i wouldn't mind getting another denon dns5000 to compliment the one i already have.

happy times

I think my main hobby might be the only one so far that makes money...online poker; I play to study the game and improve while making some extra cash on the side

I consider my motorcycle my hobby.

Lets see, per month payment is 256
Insurance is another 40 to 50 a month

Maintenance every 6000 miles is 250-350. (figure once a year)
Tires once a year 400

Upcoming front fork job is going to be 250

So, the monthly cost for this hobby is 350-370 a month.

Doesn't include gas, all the gear, and such.
