For me it's guitar stuff.. I half considered just pulling the trigger on 600 dollars worth of stomp boxen.. I had to stop myself and get part now and part later.

For me it's guitar stuff too. Bass stuff rather than guitar. As of right now I have around $2k invested in all my gear. I gig fairly regularly so it's mostly paid for. It still gets expensive, especially when you see something new you want. :D

You're the first one, sweetheart. Of course, mine is an inexpensive hobby: voyeurism. :camera:

Paintball... what a HUGE money pit. I'm probably going to stop playing soon unless I can get back into it.

Guitar aint too bad for me since I can spend under a grand and have a guitar, amp, and accessories but its good stuff for years to come. Computers aint too horrible either for me since I can spend $500-$1000 and its used for a year or two. And that's about it for my hobbies. I guess opiates/drugs are the most expensive.

no such thing as a non-ridiclously expensive hobby if you really get into it.

The big ones, IMHO...

Photography
Audio/Video
Any sort of racing (this has to take the cake)
Nice art

How about education for a professional degree. Getting educated is a hobby!

Espresso can have a steep entry fee, but the equipment lasts a long time.
Cycling, it certainly can be expensive, but I'm not into racing so it's once again a steep entry fee but not bad after that.

if you consider international travel for leisure and home interior decorating as hobbies then that would be it for me

...wife buys vacations, home furnishings, home projects and upgrades on my credit card so I consider it fairly expensive on me.

Conversations can go like this:
"Let's have the best chicken curry. Let's go to Thailand!", "I want to ski on a glacier, let's go to New Zealand!", "Let's get a nice apothecary for our east coast house, let's go to Shanghai!"
