So many paintballers.. all hating the expense...
why not try airsoft then... same thing.. better guns and less expense..

if youre a gun nut and like paintball... you will adore airsoft with the realism of the weapons.. and the MILSIM aspect =)

my hobbies are airsoft.. ( about 3k worth of gear so far)
and my 5.0 stang
and my PC.

Its now my enthusiast computer and gaming hobby and has been for about the last year. The computer hobby was my thing for a long time but about 3 years ago I picked up an everyday habit that lasted 2 years until September 14th of last year when I got clean! I spent a TON more money on that "hobby" and have nothing to show for it!
I'm glad to say I have been clean for 11 months on August 14th, woot woot! When I got sober I picked up my old hobby of computer building/gaming again and i'm glad I did. It kept me busy and away from old friends and the places I used to hang at.

I'd say to some of you guys...be glad you have a hobby or habit where you have material things to show for and not a hobby or habit that is harmful to your health, family or friends.

edit;
$30k (I buy big and expensive)

WTF?! A $30,000 drumkit? How the!?! Some Neal Peart Paragon Cymbals only run like $2100.00 and a great kit for like $4000.00, wheres the other $12,000 go? Stuff your heads with dope or something to muffle the sound?!

Im in New Zealand. and I play Pearl Masterworks kits, with Zildjian, Meinl and UFIP cymbals. next kit will be around 11 - 12 piece, with 18 cymbals, and a LOT of Pearl 2000 series ahrdware. It adds up pretty fast. To give you an idea, the bass drum on my current Masterworks cost $3599....

Cheers for someone reminding me, well over $2k of Warhammer.

guns are way expensive. :( I'd like to get into skydiving, but right now I don't have the time.

BMW motorcycle 11k plus about 2k in accessories. Trips are cheap though. Cycling in general is expensive. Neither are as expensive as a girlfriend though.

My stereo rig. It costs much more than my Lexus but I've had more use or listen out of it than driving my car so i'm happy.:)

Oh, right, I'll be adding guns to that list sometime soon. Sticking with a handgun and a shotgun for now.

I mentioned hobby farming earlier as an expensive hobby... now the wife is looking at building a second barn for about 10k. Plus, this weekend , gas, hotels, etc. for a 2400 mile trip to pick up over 1k worth of goats.

Home Theatre is my main vice... I have ~1200 DVDS, all bought. My HT hardware cost me about C$12,000, that is without getting a new display and sticking with a 1990 Sony Trinitron 32". The display is being replaced (finally) with an Optoma 720P projector as soon as I get the package at home :)

Funny thing is, I paid over C$25,000 on DVDs compared to the hardware... maybe I should not sum it up...

lol, that $30 gui must be breaking the bank? Many people here spend more than the cost of martial art lessons for a year with just a new video card + hard drive ;)

Photographic equipment (this one has lapsed for a while, and it is time to join the DSLR crowd :))
