It happened to mine when it was just out of warranty. I called MS and had a new 360 in 2 weeks. No questions asked, no problems what so ever. Call them and they will fix it.

EDIT: They sent me a box for free to ship it back in. Then they shipped out a replacement xbox for free. It only took 2 weeks, and maybe a 10 min phone call. They even would let me get an extended warranty on the new set. Its really not a big deal, call them and they will fix it for you. Dont go through hoops and do unethical things. You will get a replacement in due time without hassle.

jbourne77 perhaps this would be a good time to get off your ass and go do some exercise rather than sitting at home playing computer games? The amount of whining you're doing you've got to be fat.

Get on the treadmill chubster.

I run 20 miles/week, but thanks for your concern. It's good that we look out for each other.

If the assumptions were incorrect, you would have said how you were going to get a replacement from the get-go. There's no reason to conceal it if you're not doing anything wrong.

Because I don't intend to speak to Microsoft. I don't intend to jump through all the hoops and over all the hurdles just to hopefully get the opportunity to go through the hassle of shipping this brick back to them and then waiting 8 weeks for a refurbished unit.

No thanks... my solution is much easier and will produce immediate results.

yah and when a wise manager in whatever stores return dept catches you and sends you to PMITA jail for grand theft let us know how that works for you...

I run 4 days a week and ride the bike on the off days. Been doing it for four years now. I hated running at first, but once you make it part of your routine, you stop thinking about it. I run more often but I broke my foot awhile back and if I run on it too frequently, it hurts like a b|tch.

Yeah, sure. Of course the natural reaction to being falsely accused of something is to let people continue to believe you did it.

You're just trolling now.

Read the thread.

It's quite clear that nobody agrees with you.

Actually, I've received 5 or 6 PMs from people showing quite a bit of support as well as offering a number of suggestions. That's in addition to several who've posted in this thread. Maybe they just prefer to not be judged by a collection of self-righteous twats. Personally, I really don't care what the lot of you says because you're not the ones stuck with the problem. It's easy to be all high and mighty when it's not your problem. Been there, done that.

It's funny that the one or two people calling me "uncivilized" and insinuating that I'm a child also happen to be the ones doing the most name calling.

Actually I DID have the problem.. and I paid the 100 bucks for the repair through MS..
I may be alot of things but a thief is not one of them..

It was mainly due to him lashing out at my first post completly unprovoked, unfortunatly you have to communicate with someone like that on their level. Hence the fat jokes.

When I first posted I even felt some empathy, but after his comment to what I said and his replies to everyone else, and his demeanour in general I really hope he has to buy a new console and lose whatever money he has already invested.

LOL @ unprovoked:

jbourne77, you need to sit down and shut the fvuk up. Stop complaing, if you really think its just a heap of plastic then why dont you go ahead and buy a PS3 or Wii... Idiot.

I guess I can just tell you to "sit down and shut the fvuk up" and expect total silence from you in return.

Suck me sideways. (<- me provoking you)

(and your very first post WAS ignorant)

2. My console was not "one of the first". It's actually a "second revision" Xbox.

3. I'll take a high-pitched whine over a $400 heap of plastic any day, thank you very much. If the machine can't operate in normal conditions, then it's not ready to hit the shelves. It's as simple as that.

Does this look familiar? Yea, that is what is commonly known as "lashing out" as per my last post.

Would you like me to explain it again?

What you said WAS ignorant. That's not lashing out. That's calling it as it is. Sorry I hurt your feelings, though. Tissue?
