Do you really think existing on welfare/assistance is all puppies, rainbows, and Xbox?
Go to a walmart at 12:00 on the first of the month and witness first hand. No not everyone, but a huge percentage.

Then it shouldn't be an issue if people on welfare, food stamps etc. no longer get checks, but instead get government issued clothes, housing, and food. And they aren't allowed to have any kind of entertainment, because those things should be reserved for people who work. Otherwise, what's the point of working? As more and more things become basic "rights" the reason for working for those people at the bottom of the totem pole becomes less and less. Why be a janitor and clean up other peoples shit for $9/hr when you could just sit at home and play Xbox all day?

Although personally I think government issuing clothing and food to welfare people is kind of creepy.
Well then she's not fit to be a mother of 6 and at least a few of them should be put in foster care. Sucks, but at least there they won't starve due to lack of fucking food stamps
You want to feel entitled to food? Go start a farm.
"Seem to". "It'd have to be". "If".
These terms don't work in this kind of discussion. Quantifiable numbers. Everyone "knows" someone. And?
I'm in favor of reforms, but it's not going to be easy.
Absolutley. I'd much rather the children of people on welfare and food stamps find a way to amuse themselves rather than sitting at home playing with toys or an Xbox. I can't imagine anything possibly going wrong with your plan.
Oh my God! What did children ever do before Xbox!?!? They must have all been running wild in the streets!

Witness what? Puppies, rainbows, and Xbox?
I hope you know to folks on welfare school is free day care, complete with breakfast, lunch and dinner for the kids and they don't have to pay a dime for any of it.
Witness what? Puppies, rainbows, and Xbox?
If you seriously believe that to be true I would suggest you see your doctor.

A whole lotta bling and expensive cars.
My personal (common) favorite is the new Tahoe/Mercedes/whatever parked in the handicap spot, person gets out with absolutely no difficulties, walks right on into the store, and then they're using their Link card to buy something that has absolutely nothing to do with basic survival.

We must have a whole F-ton outbreak of it though where I live. Amazing...
It was their car, not borrowed? You saw the registration? You saw the same people every week? Why would you choose to shop on the 1st of each month at 12:00?
Inquiring minds want to know.
12 a.m.? Hummm, today is the last day of August. I may swing by my local WM later tonight/morning and check it out.
