Sorry but AP & Harvin have no equals from Philly and the O-Line for MN is much, much better.

Fair enough, but yours is an imagined scenario while mine just put up 59 points. ;)

I actually think Kevin Kolb would be a godsend for your team. If the Eagles spazz out and give Vick a zillion dollahs and Kolb then wants out, the Vikes should pounce on him like there's no tomorrow.

Classy is an idiot.

Before this season Vick was never anything more than a mediocre QB. He always showed the POTENTIAL to be great, but he never elevated his game. He was flashy and had fan support, which is why he went to pro bowls.

After getting arrested and coming back, I think he is finally elevating his game to his true potential, which will make him great.

So, in conclusion, he could have been a great QB in the past, but he chose not to be.

this x a million

Vick has always had a cannon for an arm. I don't know why people don't recognize this. He's always had a problem with decision making, that is nothing new.

I know he has the range, but I've always doubted his accuracy with the deep ball.

But this year, last night--he is obviously not the same Michael Vick. Dude is a beast. His throws were on the money--lasers. He was patient, precise, effective. looking for 3 options before running.

Right, everything he has never ever been prior to last night. I do hope he can keep up the good work and continue on that path, but in the past I just haven't seen much to make me think he's anything more than a decent QB with a great running game. I do believe he has the skill and the talent for it, but he just never corralled it all in to become a real beast. If he becomes a good, and I mean good QB with real pocket presence, then I'll be convinced. Until then, if he keeps having to bail on the pass in favor of the run, he's gonna keep getting hurt and / or going to do little to improve his passing game.

I'm a Falcons fan so I closely followed Vick over his career. In Atlanta, he was lazy, the last one to practice and the first one to leave - he wouldn't put any time in the film room as well. He was cocky and brash, the coaches (Jim Mora Jr. / Greg Knapp) weren't that good and the personnel was poor (his best receiving option was Alge Crumpler and Roddy White wasn't the player he is now).

Jail time made him reflect and finally appreciate everything that he lost. He's working harder than he ever has and has been humbled. He's always had the athletic gifts (laser rocket arm, 4.29 40) but now he has the work ethic. It also helps that he has a pretty smart coach (Andy Reid) and weapons (Desean Jackson, Maclin) to help him. If the dog incident never happened, I don't think you would ever see the Mike Vick you're seeing now. In a way, that incident made him finally realize his true potential. Funny how things work out sometimes.

Guy had a great game and half a season so far. Please bump this thread again when the seasons over. He's a fraud.

0 INT's in 153 passing attempts, 11TD's, 115.1 QB Rating. In atlanta he never put up passing numbers, he did rush for over 1,000 yards. Vick is a very different player, I've watched every single one of his games in Atlanta and this is not the same guy.

Last night was just embarrassing all around.

As a skins fan I want become and ostrich and bury my head in the sand. Friggin' ridiculous.

I will still wear my jersey with pride but damn guys give me something to cheer for at least.

Vick looked better than I have ever seen him. He is not Brady, Manning or any of the other great QBs now or in the past. He could be if keeps up a good work ethic but then again who knows.

The only other thing about last night that ticked me off though was that the announcers acted like Vick is the second coming of Jesus. I hope Vick sends them all a check in the mail because the way they were praising him he should put all their kids through college. Of course if Vick blows it next week the same guys will be saying how crappy he is ... the press ya gotta love'em but man they make me want to put my TV on mute.

It will make you feel better when the Eagles win the super bowl. Yes, I am serious - if Vick keeps playing like this, there is no way they can lose. There is no way you can stop Vick if he remains at this level. Its insane.

He is making Brady and Manning look mediocre right now. Brady had an excellent game against the Steelers but has looked bad at times. Manning has lost a lot of his weapons and I understand that, but he has looked downright terrible at times.

I'm not saying the Eagles won't be favored to go far into the playoffs, but let's not forget they were playing the Redskins last night. The same Redskins that lost to Detroit just two weeks ago :awe:

What the? How does a mediocre quarterback "always show potential to be great"? To be great you first have to be good. Right? So he had to look pretty good, if according to you he showed flashes of being great.

Oh, I think that's pretty much the definition of mediocre. seriously, your level is defined by what you do. It's one thing to simply be good, but quite another to show talent and potential for greatness, but constantly be merely good.

Your disconnect with what everyone is saying here is simply mindboggling. I mean, I don't know if you take lessons from Sharpton or J Jackson, and look at any type of critique as some form of racism or discrimination, but NOT A SINGLE PERSON here has ever crapped on Vick's talent and skill.

HIS HISTORY has shown that he never worked hard enough, or simply made poor decisions during games. Honestly, I think he was better than mediocre, but I've always really liked him on the field.

He has never been elite. I honestly hope he continues this level of play into the next 3 seasons. Then he can be considered elite.

I look at what he's done now as a completely new type of player. He was good before, took time off, changed (msotly improved) his game, and became better. I think of Jordan going from Air Jordan to Fade away/defensive master Jordan after his retirement, and becoming that much better. (not that Vick in teh NFL was as good as early Jordan, mind you. ;))

I am so glad his team is stinking. This sorry excuse for a human being does not deserve to have anything good happen to him. I just hope he gets killed or raped soon.

He apologized and didnt attempt to hide from the consequences. Also, his action was not a pattern of behavior that went on for decades. It was a one night event that he was truly sorry for. Vick is a sociopath and should be locked in a mental institution.
