I wouldn't take a kid to that movie after seeing it, haha.

I promised myself that if those guys were aliens in Signs that I would never see one of his movies again. I've kept my promise and it looks like I will have to skip Airbender.

Really? I loved Signs! Yeah, the aliens were dumb, but I liked the movie as a whole.

The airbender movie looks fun, but the trailer was like...short. I have no idea what the movie is about from that trailer :p

I'm sorry for those of you that cannot enjoy the movie, something has died inside of you.

This. QFFT.

after thinking over the movie while doing some no-brainer work, I just thought of a flaw.

in the china scene, the autobots were able to sense/smell the decipticons and knew they were around. yes? we all agree? ok

so... that girl that was attracted to Sam in college, Alice. This is her description on imdb: Alice is a girl who stalks Sam while he is away at college. This character is a type of robot called a Pretender. She is able to disguise herself in human form. On the outside she will appear to be an attractive girl but on the inside she will be sort of a hybrid of the Frenzy character from the first Transformers movie.

well, how come bumblebee didnt "smell her out"? yes he did shit to her in the car, but thats because bumblebee was stopping him from cheating.

what do yo guys think? do you think that because she can transform into a "human" she is undetectable?

I guess I am not cool enough to hate this movie. I thought it was an enjoyable action movie with lots of cool action. Yeah there were some plot holes and The Fallen fell much too quickly for my tastes but I look forward to owning the movie and watching the action scenes over and over again

If you go into the movie thinking and knowing it's going to be an action movie with lots of explosions, you won't be disappointed.

I thought I would go see this for shits and giggles before it came out, but now that it is out, just don't feel like it. Oh well, Johnny Depp then Bruno starting next week.

There a couple possible explanations. The smell line is just that a line. LIke you can smell evil or something like that.

2nd it was Ratchet who said it I believe, remember in #1 he was able to detect Sam being horny and wanting to bang Megan Fox's character. maybe bumblebee doesn't have this skill.

3rd is well she's a pretender. She just blends in and the armor/shell(at least in cartoon world) doesn't allow bumblebee to know it.

last explanations, the soldiers were actively looking for decepticons so they kept themselves on alert and with tons of equipment. Like anything if you are not actively looking for something you might miss it when its sitting right in front of you.

Or it could just be one of the typical plot holes that run rampant throughout the film...

it could be that too. The pretenders were more of a comic book thing. I never followed the comics heavily.

Kinda like the Primes wasn't exactly highlighted heavily in the original cartoons. the movies borrow things from throughout the transformer's universe. I guess the dedicated transformer fan knows every little detail.

I just like the G1 series which I grew up on the others just didn't feel the same.

just got back. the movie dragged on a bit -it could have been shorter. i really didn't see the need for the twin autobots, they were pretty much worthless. the overall plot wasn't bad, and the fights were fantastic. this movie could also be aptly named "baysplosions: revenge of the fallen" :p

i enjoyed it, but its ending wasn't nearly as epic as the 1st.

The best way to approach this movie is to just sit and enjoy! Don't think! If you think, you will spoil the movie. :p

I just got back from seeing this.

I went to see expecting to be entertained :)

I was entertained

I don't get why people try to be uber critics with obvious popcorn blockbusters...we all know they aren't great movies, but are fun to watch.

i wanted to be 'entertained' too but rarely have i felt like such a test market dummy.

more explosions ? check. more loud explosions ? check. more loud everything ?!? check. talk fast, keep
camera moving faster ? check. mucho CGI ? ha ha, check. one bimbette is good, two better ? check.

bay and producers know their audience, and i can't think of a worst insult (or commentary) than the complements
they pay with this pile of poop for a film.

Because they think they're better than everyone else.

Same could be said about those who liked the movie.

Well, i just back from Seeing the film.

IT WAS AWESOME!

People have pointed out some flaws
1) Not enough character development

Character development was covered in T1. They gave sufficient character development to the new bad robot. But i mean, how much more character development do you need? optimus prime is robot, we get that!

2)The trash talking robots

In T1 Sam asks optimus prime, how did you learn our language. optimus answers "world wide web" Obviously the trash talkers cruised hip hop websites for their vocals. And i dont think pussy is a swear is it? Pussy = pussy cat? meaning he was scared of somthing, kids use that all the time.

3) People complained about the transition from Smithsonian to Egypt.

The original cartoon was like that too, and it tied in with the plot fine!

4) People complained that it was too long.

Arent we adults here? Remember to go wee wee before you see it. I was like "its over already?" It is a non stop action roller coaster ride.

I can honestly say i wont mind seeing this again(and apparently i am next week at imax) This is a fantastic action film with plenty of military hardware throughout. I dont think there is a problem taking kids to this film. The infamous "balls" scene is like 2.5 seconds, i nearly missed it.And the dogs humping... thats what dogs do, nothing to shelter kids from there! The big robot with the balls reminded me of the contructocons. I wish there was more of soundwave (perhaps in T3?) This is not Shakespeare its an action film, dont forget that. It has to work on both levels, entertaining kids and adults, the wider the audience the more monies they will make.

If transformers were CG animated movie, they it would have a +90% approval rating from all critics.

My boss let me and 3 co-workers take the afternoon off to see it on the company's dime. Wouldn't have seen it otherwise. I knew enough to leave my brain at the door before seeing the film but still felt like walking out a couple times because of the trash talking Autobot twins. They did not add anything to the film.

I explained the film to my wife like this:

"It's probably a lot like having sex with a Real Doll. Sure, it feels good and gets you off, but if you make the mistake of looking into it's eyes searching for something, there's nothing there. No soul."

one thing that i thought was laughable was when they were at the air and space museum in DC.

then the transformer busts outside and there is a huge desert airfield that looks like it is miles long.

then there are mountains in the background.

umm, no, that is not DC at all lol.

Agreed 100%

It was a solid action movie which is all anybody should expect. Yes there are flaws... Like Megan Fox being completely useless, and just stuck in there to get the desperate guys to see it just for stare at her. The twin autobots were awkward in parts but I laughed at some of their scenes. All in all I say 8 out of 10, and I probably liked it more than the first one.
