This is one of the most hilariously ironic threads of all time.
If only the marketing team had paid the Cohen brothers to put their name somewhere on this, people would be ranting about it being a materpiece of ground-breaking cinema. Or maybe if it had been labelled as a sequel to Donnie Darko......... anyway.
Hypocricy is so funny when it relates to pop culture. For some ungodly reason there seem to be millions of Transformers naysayers. Where did they all come from? Here's a couple of points to consider:
- It has giant robots from another planet
- Megan Fox cannot act, but looks really good (Toe thumbs and all)
- This movie was directed by Michael Bay
There is not one person on this planet that has the facilities to see this movie that does not know these things ahead of time. If you went and watched it anywayand expected something else, then you are such an idiot that your opinion really has ZERO validity in the first place. Not only that, but 99.9% of the people in the theaters that you watched the movie with have already seen the first one, yet all of these people around you are struck with disbelief because it was almost as bad as the first one, except with more robots, less people and less plot development????? It's a freaking sequel...... of an action movie!!!!! Relevant plot and character development have already been taken care of about three years ago. Yes, I'm sure that
Star Trek:Nemesis was really heavy on character development. If you are pissed at lack of plot and character development, you should have saved your money to see Public Enemies, then we could listen to you whine about how the pace was too slow and Michael Mann seemed too obsessed with developing his characters and letting the plot unfold too slowly.
Oh yeah let's not forget the preview for
The Last Airbender. How does anyone get excited for the preview of a live action movie, that is based on Anime and then follow it up by complaining about the following movie being unbelievable, incomprehensible and lacking character development?
Seriously people. Good lord.
