How do you know? Were you there? Are you friends with the SEA or MIN equipment managers? No? Ok then. The NFL could have kept switching out balls from the heated locker room at x intervals. Quite frankly I have no idea where you got this from because it's never been a story other than in your and phokus' heads.

You're right, it's never been a story.. well ..except that it was a story. (just thought prefacing it with you were right, would take the sting out of getting owned again :)).

"They are very concerned with the footballs in the cold weather going below the 12.5 PSI," Paolantonio reported prior to the game.

According to Paolantonio, the footballs will be brought to the field 20 minutes before kickoff, to give them enough time to adjust to the frigid air. More importantly, at halftime, the officials will switch to the backup footballs. Both sets of footballs will be tested after the game.

Business Insider

So, yes, the balls at halftime would have most definitely been way below 12.5. Btw, it's very odd that you use stats so much but don't like science. Peculiar to say the least.

So yeah, it wasn't a story at all since the balls were switched out during the game. Show me an espn link about the controversy of this. Good luck with that.

I guess this is Peter King's attempt to jump off the Deflategate bandwagon.

Why NFL Should Give Back Picks to Pats (But Won’t)

Despite me not really liking the Pats and you being biased towards them, I completely agree with the analysis here.

There's a reason they didn't thoroughly document every game/measurement this year. My understanding is they didn't even keep the records from the games they did measure.

Brady about to be suspended his 4 games if the Pats lose the appeal, and it's not going well.
http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl-new...ategate-latest-appeal-serve-4-game-suspension
The NFL's appeal was heard in court earlier this month in front of a three-judge panel and was largely considered a victory for the league as the trio of judges appeared skeptical of attorney Jeffrey Kessler's argument that Brady routinely destroys his cell phones and sees nothing corrupt about the activity.

More Pat fans' deflection incoming in this thread. The tears will be delicious if Brady is suspended.

the fact that this non-issue is still being a big thing over a year after it happened is completely retarded.

Brady's legacy at stake here. Noone will remember wtf the happened, just that he got suspended for 4 games for cheating and it'll be something that can be rubbed in Pat fans' faces forever. Spygate, fined. Deflategate, fined + 1st round pick + Brady suspension for smashing cell phones like a moron.

the only people who even care about this are pats fans and brady haters. everyone else just LOL's at the whole deflategate thing and knows it's absolutely a non-issue that had no effect on anything.

i'm definitely in here for the lulz.

It's become a farce at this point. I really don't understand why the league keeps pushing it as Brady could decide to simply retire and that's a gravy train the NFL doesn't want to lose. I'm seeing the NFL execs discussing their plan now:

"So let's lose money by decreasing viewership to Pats games where Jimmy Garoppolo is playing instead of Brady while he serves his suspension. Meanwhile we'll open ourselves to further reputation risk by penalizing DeflateGate more than players who commit domestic violence."

meh. until there is a ruling no sense speculating. I have read where the judges acted one way then ruled another.

Also no matter what i don't think it's the end of it.

The fact that the league didn't keep track of PSI on the balls says a lot on the NFL. also the fact that anyone with a IQ over 80 knows by now that the balls deflate in the cold..

why this is continuing i don't know. seems like the smartest thing would be to have dropped it in the off season.

As a Brady/Belicheat hater I can both care and laugh. It's not an either/or situation.

Yep. I was skeptical at first, because of their history. I even kind of wanted it to be right and bought into the early NFL statements. Now? I'll defend them because despite if they were cheating in the past it's pretty clear they weren't wrong on cheating with the balls. Fair is fair.

Given all the bullshit in this case I'd rather see the Goodell burn.

BRADY 4 GAME SUSPENSION REINSTATED
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/1...spension-deflategate-reinstated-appeals-court

A federal appeals court has ruled that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady must serve a four-game Deflategate suspension imposed by the NFL, overturning a lower judge and siding with the league in a battle with the players union.

"We hold that the Commissioner properly exercised his broad discretion under the collective bargaining agreement and that his procedural rulings were properly grounded in that agreement and did not deprive Brady of fundamental fairness," the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Monday in New York.

The decision by a three-judge panel may end the legal debate over the scandal that led to months of football fans arguing over air pressure and the reputation of one of the league's top teams.

Gonna be a lot of tissues sold in New England today.

Just saw the news, this will make my Monday shine. :) Where ya at <call-out removed> & crew?

Remember my quote..

..this whole case isn't about Brady anymore it's about the process by which he was punished. The power Goodell had to do what he did was collectively bargained, theoretically the owners gave up other things in order have the power, so I don't think you can un-ring that bell once it's in writing and the proper people sign off. Also I hear this Paul Clement guy the NFL hired is a very successful appeal lawyer, so we'll see.

Not surprising, a large majority of legal analyst at the time believed if the appeal actual just focused on the agreed upon powers of the commissioner that the ruling would be overturned.

right.

I suspect it will be appealed. interesting because the suspension itself is based on BS.

hmm i'm still not sure this is a fight goodell should be pushing.
