Hahahah. You can't make this stuff up.

Wait... are the coins provided by the TEAMS?!?!
Belichick is shaving weight from one side of the coin!
He couldn't have snuck in a two-headed or two-tailed coin; the refs hold onto them, they are provided by the league, and plus the opponents are making the call half the time anyway, rendering such a move highly risky.
He couldn't have bribed the refs; they don't have any control over how a coin lands.
Or do they? Has Belichick been orchestrating a scheme in which the referees, all of whom are clearly on the take anyway since the Patriots get ALL the calls, spend hours upon hours every offseason perfecting a carefully manipulated tossing system that allows them to dictate which side lands face up? If the Patriots call heads, can the refs manipulate it so the coin lands heads? If New England's opponent calls heads, can they make it come up tails? Is that what Pink Stripes is? Some massive coin aerodynamics equation? And is there even a rule against that? If there isn't, I sure hope that nobody in the Colts or Ravens front office reads this article, otherwise we'll be in for some more rule changes in the offseason.
What the 2015 Fumble Stats Say About Deflategate
As the controversy unfolded last winter, many looked at the Patriots’ low fumble rate and speculated that it resulted from low PSI levels in footballs. But the most recent numbers tell a different story.
...
So what happened in 2015?
• The Patriots had the fewest fumbles of any NFL offense.
• The Patriots had the best fumble rate of any NFL offense.
• The Patriots had one of their best fumble rates of the past decade.
...
The idea that the Patriots were a 1 in 16,000 type-of-outlier made for a nice story, and it was quite easy to use aggregated statistics that implicated New England. As often happens, however, there's more to data than meets the eye. In the case of fumble rates, New England has routinely led the league. It's a result that seems more likely to be accounted for by differences in points on the scoreboard, and not by differences in the pressure levels of footballs.

Now that the season is over and the season data can be analyzed. Here is a good story debunking that ridiculous study attributing the Pats low fumbles to the fact they cheated by taking air out of the footballs.
Anyway the NE/DEN game later this month will probably be better then the SB, Denver's offense woke-up big time last week and the winner of this contest will determine seeding in the playoff's.
As the articles have noted, regardless of what the NFL does - that first round pick and million dollars the Pats gave up ain't coming back. And why is the NFL going to keep evidence? Look at what happened to the Pats when they did that (spygate).HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA
The NFL didn't keep the logs of the PSI of the footballs during random spot checks. GEE I WONDER WHY. The NFL is guilty as fuck.

Edit: I'm thinking the NFL found out the Ideal Gas Law was correct and thus footballs DO deflate during cold weather.

Sure I did. Cry more about losing a 1st rounder and $1mil. Largest penalty in NFL history after the Pats were already hit with one of the largest fines in history for spygate. And now you're whining that the NFL won't even keep records when they adopted this method after destroying the Pats' spygate evidence. The NFL isn't that stupid. You're probably the LAST person who should comment on deflategate, you got your ass handed to you up and down this thread.

Oh brother, my knowledge of football supersedes anything you post and I've banked hundreds of dollars in fantasy and elimination pools. PM me if you want paypal screenshots and emails where people refer to me as an "NFL Shark". Also reference the divisional thread where I trolled the shit out of you regarding tom brady where you didn't even know why he was better this year than the last. Also reference this thread where I trolled the shit of you and phokus for my own amusement. TheFlyingPig has nothing on me.Someone should do a paper on this. Call it the "making of a fake scandal." Mostly everything in this story has been debunked many times over. From the Wells report to the "statistics" used to prove the Pats had some advantage since they hardly fumbled. I mean I don't think there has been much in this "scandal" that was accurate.
I guarantee the NFL kept the numbers and dumped them when they realized it would hurt their case. If I were Brady I would have filed a civil suit. That would have been fun.
And Sp33Demon, you did get owned over and over in this thread. You're to sports analysis what Humble Pie is to legal analysis.

We did spot checks throughout the year, and we measured PSI levels and recorded that information. So right now were evaluating the information. We didnt have any violations this year, but again were still in that evaluation phase to look at the information and then well see what that tells us.
It was a pass/fail spot check within PSI range according to the NFL. Every team passed. Faux outrage by Pats fans.
Jeffrey Kessler, Brady’s attorney: Now, at the time that was true, did you know that the footballs were automatically going to lose pressure if it was cold outside compared to how warm it was inside? Was that ever something you thought about prior to this game?
Troy Vincent, NFL executive VP of game operations: No, sir.
Kessler: And the reason for no one doing this is because neither you nor anyone else was thinking about the Ideal Gas Law or how time or temperature or wetness may affect these readings, right?
Vincent: Correct.
…
Kessler: Now, when you say, “They had eleven balls 10 under compliance,” what you meant is that they had 11 eleven balls that were below 12.5 being measured, 12 correct?
Vincent: Yes.
Kessler: But at the time, you didn’t know that some of that reduction could happen just because of cold or wetness or other factors, right? That just wasn’t something you were aware of, correct?
Vincent: I didn’t include science, no, sir.

How do you know? Were you there? Are you friends with the SEA or MIN equipment managers? No? Ok then. The NFL could have kept switching out balls from the heated locker room at x intervals. Quite frankly I have no idea where you got this from because it's never been a story other than in your and phokus' heads.Except, that would be impossible as the temperature got colder. They replaced the balls in the Seawhawks/Vikings playoff game. And those balls had to be way under 12.5 psi seeing how cold it was. Why do you keep ignoring those unfavorable science facts?
Here is Vincent on it.
Fan number 184 is back from my club. I require more of this enthusiasm in other threads that you see me post in.
