I'm ignorant on the rules of surfing but I guess some got pissed the winner of the longboard competition had equipment 2 inches too short.

I haven’t seen thugs commit this kind of thuggery since thugs got completely out of control following a hockey game

We obviously have a serious white cultural problem since 86% of all crimes against white people are committed by other white people.

The simple answer, get some real problems. If the worst displays of thugs are following surfing and hockey you people have too much free time on your hands. I would expect outrage and tears over poverty, hunger, lost family members due to crime, abuse by the criminal justice system. Seems white people get the most upset over things like this...

There will be many who will not get the sarcasm in this so I’m confessing up front. The next person who starts a thread defaming an entire group of people with the violent culture label spouting simplistic platitudes like, just behave and your problems will go away. Just swap the names and remember this.

Don't forget, these surfers only act out because of landwalker privilege. If people would only treat them as equals, they wouldn't have to punch the white hispanic night watchman in the nose.

But let's not minimize the problem of having equipment 2" too short. These people need our pity, not our condemnation.

Wow, this isn't the first time a riot has occurred during surfing competition at Huntington Beach.

Witnesses said the melee had no direct connection to the surfing contest but instead was triggered by two or more men behind the bleachers immediately south of the Huntington Beach Pier who were trying to take off the bathing suits of two young women.

B37 may have been referring to the incidents like two reporters for the Virginian Pilot being beaten by a crowd of "at least 100" black youths last April - which was rumored to have been accompanied by shouts that it was for Trayvon.

Or the other beatings of whites last year which were accompanied by verified witness accounts of declarations that "this is for Trayvon" or "now that's justice for Trayvon" (one victim was Matthew Owens, who was left in critical condition)

There was also a police car shot up in Sanford shortly after the Trayvon case was getting a lot of press, and a vicious hammer beating of a white man by two black young men in Sanford around that time as well, which people felt was tied to the Trayvon situation.

There were also numerous flash rob groups hitting places like a Walgreens, and other stores which were tied to angst about Trayvon.

These could be things B37 had heard about, possibly only heard about vaguely and were behind her use of the phrase "riots" - or maybe she's just really imprecise with her language in the same way B29 was. B29 used the word "murder" when she seemed to mean "killing" and other linguistic blunders. I believe B37 had a few during her Anderson Cooper interview.

Someone who was a potential juror and knew these women said all but 1 of the women who ended up on the jury were idiots.

I think sometimes we forget just how dim the average person can be. How poor their command of English can be. B37 struck me as fairly dim during her interview with Cooper.

So who knows if she just used the word "riots" to refer to protests, and was being stupid/imprecise in her language, or if she was referring to those sorts of events I mentioned... who knows.

What I do know, is you've got an axe to grind and I'm not going to be able to stop you.
