Heh, do you see other country calling someone driving a car into a store killing let's say 5 people their 911?

I mean won't you get pissed off and think it dishonors those who died on 911 with such comparison?

3000 people died on 911, and comparing that to something killed 5 people give you 3000:5 or 600:1 ratio.

270,000 people died in the Tsunami, and let's say 200 people died in this hurrican, that's 1350:1 ratio, twice as bad as the comparision I just give you.

So imaging what people in Indonesia, India, Thailand and Sri Lanka think when they hear American compare something killed 200 people to their tragedy. And can you blame them and everyone else in the world thinking American are either not too bright or arrogant to the bone?

Yes, the hurricane is horrible, but everyone had DAYS of notice to get the hell out of there.

What part of "this is our tsunami" do you not understand? He didn't say it was as bad the tsunami, he just said it was their version of it. Maybe if you had your house destroyed and your city flooded, you might understand.

Heh, I thought we put human life above everything else.....well I guess that's not the case. Well, even if you think human life doesn't count in the comparision, the devastation of the Tsunami spread accrossed 4+ countries, and even shores as far as Africa was affected. What make you think the property and infrastructure damange wasn't as much as Katrina.

Look, I am not here to say Katrina isn't a tragedy or horrible. I feel bad for the people who lost their house and property. But the Tsunami literally put hell on earth in those areas. People had to live among dead body for weeks. To make hurrican that happens more then a few time a year to an event that killed 270,000 people and probably 5x who lost their house/home and was hurt or diseased from the disaster, is just ridiculous.

Seriously, the effects on everything other than lives were probably similar. If there had been as little warning for the hurricane as there was for the tsunami, the loss of life might have been even higher than the tsunami. So in that regard it is somewhat the same. Pre-weather radar this would have been a disaster of epic proportions.

Two comments:

1. Liberals are pretty stupid.
2. Denmark doesn't have hurricanes. The levees were built to control the rivers and bayous. They do that very well. Hurricanes like this one are something else.

One more comment - for the stupid liberal: New Orleans was built a long time back to access transportation on the Mississippi. Lots of nature under the bridge since then.
