You can see into the future? 😉
Is there a list of launch titles yet for the PS4?
Also will the games at launch be able to be downloaded instead of discs?
I don't care for consoles but if I did, I would never, ever, ever, ever get a Microsoft product. Pay more per year for XBL? Pay more upfront for worse hardware? Worse DRM policies? I mean, I hate Sony and all, but this isn't even a close call.
I don't think MS will backpedal anytime soon. Not saying they won't though. Just saying we can't expect to hear anything for awhile. A decision like that takes time. They have to talk to a lot of different departments. Then of course also backpedalling now sounds like they are doing it because of sony.
For MS, it's better they wait let the gamers vent then backpedal saying "We're doing it for the gamers and what they've expressed to us."
Finally, there are other ways MS can "backpedal" without saying htey did anything wrong.
Heavy bundling would help a lot. 2 free games? Or a year free of Xbox Live?
If I was MS, I'd backpedal on the DRM in 2-3 months, and bundle 2-3 free games or Xbox Live. As it currently is, the only thing MS has is Exclusives, but because most of them are ones we've only seen lame trailers for, vs SONY's actual game play, I don't think you can sell a console for 100 dollars more with this many unanswered questions as of now.
There is a lot of time of course but they do have to convince consumers to pay more which is ALWAYS hard. Right now though, Sony has a couple months head start of good PR. Don't doubt for a second that sony fans, and newly converted sony fans, won't spread "the good word"
MS' Director of Global Marketing must feel pretty silly now after making this comment

PS+ is $9.99 a month unless you buy a year @ ~$60. Exact same price as live. I am still a bit disappointed they didn't show more of what I wanted. No God of War. No Jak and Daxter. No real exclusives. I don't care about indie games.
And the Drive Club PSN edition, has that been detailed yet how it differs from Drive Club pay $60 edition? Is it a stripped down game or the full version?

all i got out of it is that none of those big name games are coming out at launch, and that launch is going to be 75% cross platform games and 25% exclusives that will be on the level of heavenly sword and motorstorm when ps3 launched (ie, not system sellers or must haves, but decent "launch" games).
i'll most likely wait like 6-12 months after launch to get a ps4, exactly as i did with ps3 because the ps3 launch was garbage too, as was ps2, but i bought a ps2 at launch because it was the only next gen console available.
Everywhere I looked, it's $18 for a 3 month subscription ($6/mo) and $50 for a 12 month sub ($4.17/mo). I don't know what the month-to-month rate is, if that's even offered.
Xbox Live is officially $25 for 3 months ($8.33/mo) and $60 for 12 months ($5/mo). Although, unlike PS+, you can find cards for cheaper from Amazon and other places, so the prices are roughly the same.
PS+ has free games though. I guess MS has started doing this as well. PS+ has more, but that may change over time. I like the idea though. I often play older used games to save money and this would be an alternative.
Damn, I woke up to some good news today 🙂
I almost preordered... but not feeling like a guinea pig today. Tempted though 😉
For fellow Canadians out there, Amazon.ca now has PS4 up for preorder. http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00B...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I read it was, for PS4, PS+ for $9.99 a month or "about $5 a month" for the yearly subscription (which puts it at around $60).
I just picked up a year of PS+ on BestBuy for 39.99 + free "expedited" shipping and no tax.
You need to be a gamer club member through their rewards program, and you need to link your reward zone card through BB.com.
Easy peasy.
wish i could go back to all the xbl vs psn threads and find all of the sony fanboys who LOL'ed about paying for xbl just to play games online, and then find them in these ps4 threads all excited about the ps4 and having no problem to pay for ps+ just to play ps4 online.
Bit different when you could choose. Now we're forced to pay to play online with either system. I haven't touched online gaming for the 360/PS3 in almost 6 months now though.
How is it different? If they so staunchly refused before, they should be staunchly refusing now. Aka buying neither system.
