You know, even after last night, I have to say that I still really do not like healing Magister's Terrace. I can heal heroics and normals just fine, but my god is that instance a pain. It may just be another case of the group make-up though. This time we had a druid tank, druid dps (after I talked about never seeing one... too bad it wasn't a warrior tank though! 😛), arcane mage, warlock and myself. The two druids and the mage were all PVP geared, which doesn't matter too much to an extent as a lot of the damage seems to come from magic effects/spells anyway 😛.
But I found myself dying quite often in the run, which one was my fault and actually caused a group wipe (backing up to get away from the "hot zone" into another group = bad 😛), but for the most part, once I realized my health was low, there wasn't much I could do (6k HP ftw). Then there's not having Circle of Healing which would be nice on certain bosses like Vexallus when he's almost dead and doing tons of damage to everyone. I might just need to PW:S myself right before he hits 20% and start Prayer of Healing a second or so ahead or something like that.
I did get the ring last night off Kael after wiping for a bit. It seems our ranged had problems with the phoenix. I remember the lock literally dying before I could really do anything about it. The mage being arcane did actually end up being nice as he just casted Slow on the phoenix. Any comments on the ring though? I'm not sure if I should throw that +22 healing gem in it or just save it for something else. 'Cause I'm thinking Mender's Heart-Ring and Violet Signet of the Grand Restorer would be better, so I shouldn't waste a nice gem when I'll end up replacing it relatively quickly. I also don't want to put it in Whitemend or Primal Mooncloth, because I'm looking to replace them with something that actually has stamina (tired of dying =\).

Only 6k? My mostly green wearing scrub is pulling in just over 7, and I didn't even put any points in demonic embrace this time. 🙂

Ah that's pretty interesting, didn't realize the base class had that much effect between similar classes.

Depending on your class, when you level, you gain different stats and hp/mana amounts.

Eh...it's easy but it isn't. Here is the thing about MT. It is easy if you have raid experience. Not just because of the gear, but the ability to handle certain challenges in an encounter will be very difficult for your average 5 man with little to no raid experience.
The 3rd boss is the most chaotic fight in a 5 man. Taking them on Arena style is the best way I have found to do it and that is something your average 5 man PUG does not know how to do well. Kael in MT is easily the most complex 5 man fight in the game. It is easy for raiders because they have experienced similar challenges in the past but non raiders have not. Non raiders have to deal with the dps switching targets to the birds quick and killing the eggs while kiting. The healer need to concentrate on healing many people whose hp can go down fast. They have to deal with the gravity mechanic too. If on heroic, they have to switch targets and DPS fast enough before Kael pops his shield and burns the tank. On top of that, the second boss is a bitch to heal if you only have one healer and it isn't a druid and shaman.
Don't get me wrong, it will become simple for everyone soon enough, but the learning curve for non raiders is much greater than any 5 man I have seen.
I haven't posted in this thread for several days now, but I will update by saying my guild killed Najentus and Supremus for the first time on Monday. They are push overs for the most part but it was nice to kill them. Shade is next for us. I imagine we will take him on this Monday. I hear he is easy too, but as usual I will ask for any tips which might lessen the learning curve.
Also, does anyone know anything about the diminishing returns when it comes to druid stats? I briefly tried to find info on them but I couldn't find what I was looking for. Specifically, I am trying to find out when the diminishing returns start for healing, spirit, and MP5.

everyone complains about the 2nd boss, ive never done it with a druid or shaman healer and we have never lost more then one person, again this is prob gear related as having a 4/5 T6 paly heal it might be a bit much
my brother has done it on his warrior and our SP neither of which has any raid gear other then some random kara parts and he has not complained,
after he did kael he thought it was sweet that it was just like the kael in TK
