Damn I finally reinstalled GW. I reformatted and finally installed it yesterday. Time to light it up.

I hate reformatting now, just because of Guild Wars and all the updates.

Save the gw.dat file from programfiles/guildwars onto a blank dvd and replace the smaller fresh installed one. I briefly joined team crunchers but no one is ever on. :(

For those who haven't been on in a while, this weekend's event is a double XP for elite capture and double chance for green drops. Might be a good time to do some green farming for heroes or yourself. :) Also nice for some of those elites that we've all been meaning to capture but haven't gotten around to. :)

I know about that this weekend, but sadly I'm not really far enough in the game to even get anything out of this. Bummer. :(

I have one character, lvl17 atm, in the Prophecies campaign.
Owned the game since launch, but rarely touched the game as I couldn't get myself interested for more than a couple days. Finally found what keeps my interest in the game.\ and getting back into it.

I've been doing a bit of green farming the last day or two so if anybody wants to join in or needs some hero weapons, just let me know. :) I'll probably be around on and off today and tonight. :)

I spent most of the weekend going after the ele boss Jeoffs, trying to get Jeoffs' Focus over near Rata Sum. Didn't get anything, but I did find a new build that works quite well (and I made it completely on my own--didn't get it online or anything). :D

EDIT: I'll be preparing for the 3tb coming on Friday, but I'll be on all day--all week for the matter. I stay on the forums until I see that someone is online that might be playing.

There are a few good spots in prophecies but to be honest.....NF prolly has the best farming spots. I tend to stick to the same ol' areas though so I certainly might be wrong. :)

Let me know when. I got very good at knowing the fire island missions (because I sucked at them and did them 50 billion times).

Why don't you just copy over the GWs folder to another partition or HDD?
GWs doesn't need installing properly, you can just run it straight off the exe :).

FMC

Btw I caught you on a few weekends back & you didn't answer:p.

I just started playing again. In game name is "Cylune Riftborne" I believe. Been doing some questing in EotN with some clanmates, then Nightfall after that. We're also going to be doing some dungeon runs later tonight I think.

Factions is the only campaign I don't have :(

But yeah, Mindbender + Air of Superiority make for fun times as an Ele.

Hehe......we should get together and try a Rotscale farm run sometime. :D That turd is a royal pain sometimes. hehe It can supposedly be done with 2 monks but I think a group would be more fun. :)

BTW sorry I took so long to reply Assimilator1. I actually typed out an answer to you like 3 times this past Saturday but my new computer refused to cooperate(kept losing signal on the monitor so I'm RMA'ing my vid card). The best places that I know of to farm in NF are Zehlon Reach and Moddok Crevice for Colossal Scimitars(they aren't worth that much nowadays but they're still cool looking) or Fahranur, the First City. You can also farm some in Plains of Jarin and get some ranger tomes and what not. You can also do some decent farming in the Desolation when you're in the wurms. Past those spots.......I don't really farm all that much. People always talk about "finding your own spots" and I guess that's a good idea. Farming in Factions is something I haven't done much of so I can't really comment too much on that. Prophecies has some decent farming spots such as the Falls for Totem Axes or maybe even the Desert for Kephket's Refuge. Totem Axes go for 4-5k each usually and you *might* get that much out of a Kephket's.......but I'm not sure about that. As far as farming goes, the most popular spot is outside of Rata Sum in the Raptor Nestling cave. That is the most popular HANDS DOWN. Everytime there is an event that gives some sort of drop (Easter, St. Patrick's Day, Thanksgiving, Wintersday, etc) people WEAR those poor things out.

However, I'm going to share something with all of you that I think *might* be useful. If you REALLY want to make money, I'll tell you how to do it. You need to start NOW though. This is not a quick thing and it will take some time. During Wintersday there are always collectors. They collect various items and usually trade them for alcohol or sweets. Lots of people like to work on the sweet tooth or drunk title so these items command a premium price. We're talking around 35-40k per STACK of 250. Among these collector items are Singed Gargoyle Skulls and Charr Carvings(not Superb but regular). There are others but these are some of the main ones. The Singed Gargoyle Skulls can easily be farmed outside of Nolani Academy. Charr Carvings can be farmed in various places but the end of the Great Northern Wall mission has LOTS of Charr as do the Diessa Lowlands area. So...do you see where I'm going with this? Do a couple of runs every day and start accumulating some of these items and start storing them up. When Wintersday comes along, I doubt that the collectors will change as they haven't in at least the last 2 years and maybe not in the whole time the game has been out. The Dev team is still working on GW2 so I suspect that they won't bother to change things very much. Even if you only manage to scrounge up 2 stacks of Skulls and Charr Carvings(which is very doable and also VERY boring), you're looking at somewhere in the vicinity or 130-140k just for those 4 stacks of items. That's EASY money and while boring and tedious.....it's not hard to do at all. :)

Factions? Doh! This is why I don't post much when I've taken my Ambien. I meant Eye of the North. I'm seriously considering trading in my book to get Asura points, but I'm so close to finsih EotN that it makes more sense to keep it til I'm finished.

I might put in some time Friday night (GMT-5). I'd play tomorrow but I really need to reformat and reinstall XP SP3 as well as Vista SP1. Now that I finally have a DX10 capable video card I find myself wanting to run Vista... but not enough to use it as my sole OS :p

Or maybe I'll just run Vista and run XP in a VM as required... bleh.
