PSA:
Newegg has the Platinum Edition for 15 bucks right now.

Considering this game has no monthly fee I suggest everyone try it at least once, just to see what its like.
I am still playing with the core version, nothing fancy.

I just couldn't get into Guild Wars. It just seemed like a WoW-lite. The art direction, story, environment, aesthetics, sounds, etc. were also just super generic. That was also a big turn-off.

I have several vials of dye in my storage chest. Should I just sell them straight to the merchants or will other players give me more money?
Is it possible for them to rip me off?
I'm in Post-searing, ruined Ascalon, and getting my butt kicked. I need money for good elementalist clothing that gives me decent armor and bonuses to energy storage.

generally you will get a fair price at the merchant for them.. the only ones you can get slightly more for are the White and Black dyes..generally they sell to players for about 750 to 1k more to players.

I have a white and a black.
In fact, before the Xunlai storage came around I had been carrying them for about two years.

I only play that game on average for an hour a month, and usually dont get much done in that hour. Just this afternoon I finally got my girl up to level 11. And still getting my ass kicked on the main quest missions.

Even if you race through just the main quest with buddies more powerful than you, its a LONG game. Mostly cuz of the running around. The world is huge and you run kinda slow. And if you zip around avoiding enemies they will gang up on you and kill you.

dude....do not sell your white and black dyes to merchants. You'll get a decent amount more selling in cities; though it sounds as though you haven't made it to LA yet. (for selling needs)

if you need any help, PM me in game. I *should* be able to run you just about anywhere in any campaign that you might need (should--b/c I don't play as much as I used to, and areas like noob prophecies have become somewhat foreign to me....but I have enough run builds across my characters that it's almost auto-pilot at this point)

just add zinfamous son of zi to your list and PM me if I'm on.

Revival! ;)

Any of you guys still playing this? I just started playing again a couple of weeks back after ~6mth hiatus.
Oh FMC I know you're still playing it of course ;), when are you next on?
Btw......

Like Factions? or Nightfall? or Eye of the North? :p;)

Great, I forgot what a pain this game is to install. You have to download a large update through their slow ass servers just to get into the game THEN you have to download the map, trying to get into LA, thruogh their slow ass servers again. Damn this sucks. I guess I'll leave it on tonight when I go out and it'll probably take a couple hours to download LA just so I can get in and play. YAY when I have to go to another map so I can wait forver to download it for the first time again.
As me & another guy already posted earlier in this thread, why don't you just back up the whole GWs directory (or gw.dat) before formatting & then copy it back to the basic install folder?? Saves the long slow d/ls ;).

use the switch "-image" at the end of GW.exe it will force the game download everything at once. So no more waiting when changing location. Make sure to delete the switch when you want to play the game.

Interesting, didn't know you could do that, although it'd still be easier to just backup the GW directory.

See ya bout MSI1337 :)
