Let me be clear: Trump is not "my boy". I in no way support him, and will vote for however is the Democratic nominee. I also initially favored Biden as the democratic nominee. However, I now strongly question his competence to defeat Trump. It is not that my standards have "gone up", it is more that Biden's coherence has gone down.
Question, is it far better then Trump? Have any of his gaffs been out of malice?

Perfect candidate? No. Good and clean ain't gonna get it done in the era of Trump. People seem to gravitate towards warts, which Joe does have. He also has decency and honor which is sorely lacking right now.

Let me guess, since you are going to get the guy on the "far" left, you are going to be forced to vote for the extreme far right guy, right?
Would never vote for Trump. Didn’t vote for him last time.

Thinking about the states that the Democrats need to win, which states can status quo Joe take from Trump?

Have you heard Biden speak recently???? He cant even put together a coherent sentence, just starts out to say one thing, rambles on about something else, and may or may not ever finish the original thought.
Did you hear his address last night in L.A.? It was hell of impressive. If he's like that in the debates, Trump will be dumb struck.

Biden's VP pick would have to be Pete. Warren for AG if he wanted to get shit done, but I suspect the deal was made with Amy for AG.

What he needs is Mike's operation. The systems they set up were next level.

Some of the greatest hits from your boy...

> windmill cancer
> revolutionary war airports
> ram the manparts
> oranges of Mueller investigation
> Toledo mass shooting
> wettest hurricane from standpoint of water
> Tim Apple
> kidney has special place in heart
> moon is part of mars
> ceaseless incoherence and slurring

I could keep going. Trump's list is far greater. Trump biggest gaffe problem, a lot of them emanate from malice.

I said this to someone else, why are you standards all of a sudden going up? Where the fuck u been for the last 3 years? Please let us know which side of your face posts. It would be nice to know.

Who's boat is this? Is this your boat? Its a nice boat, where did it come from? I guess it's your boat now. I have a boat, and a plane, but I put my name on it so I know it's my boat.
They should put their name on this boat so we would know it's their boat and they would still have a boat.

Anybody want some paper towels? Mike, where's my t shirt cannon? Remind me to put my name on it... And to buy more gold paint.

Beyond the constant Trump gaffes, The Dotard is functionally illiterate.

He can't read more than a page of information, constantly screws up what's told to him (eg still keeps saying we'll have a coronavirus vaccine in 4 months..) and just resorts to streaming outright lies when his mind goes blank.

Yeah, but Biden has a stutter...

BTW - For Joe to be status quo he would have to turn into a corrupt racist dirtbag. I don't see that happening.
If you accept Trump as a cancer, status quo Joe is like taking up smoking as the treatment plan.

The donor class only seems concerned with Warren and Sanders.

What can I say except that I hope you are proved wrong. :( :( Btw, though we often disagree, I really respect the way you buttress your views with logic and facts.

I appreciate that. I hope you appreciate the magnitude of what happened last night. Thousands of young Sanders volunteers across the country worked their asses off to try to nominate a candidate that at least promises to change course, and in a moment, everything was thrown back in their faces. No effort has ever been made by the Biden camp to appeal to these progressives, instead, Biden treats them with open contempt. I think the question of "will they vote for Biden in the GE" is the wrong question. I think the question is if they will abandon electoral politics entirely. I am at a complete loss as to what one could even say to someone like that to get them to continue. Again, impossible to overstate this: they were not out-worked, they did not lose to a superior campaign, they did not lose a better argument. they lost to candidate that didn't even bother campaigning at all.

I hear a lot of nasty comments coming from Bernie's camp about old voters and black voters in the South. I don't subscribe to any of that. It is an absolute mystery to me why anyone would vote for Biden, but at the end of the day, they did, and the facts on the ground are what they are.

Warren supposedly meeting with her campaign. Seems inevitable she will drop out very shortly. Dunno if she will endorse or not.

All her voters won't automatically transfer to Sanders, some will break Biden.

I take it that "status quo Joe" was at the top of the morning bullet points. That defies the reality of Trump & the GOP being the actual status quo, doesn't it?

I don't know if this helps Sanders, but it does clarify things quite a bit.

Oh YES he is! Here's one: Deny Trump a second term so we can begin to save our institutions AND put that fat fucker in jail.
Status quo Joe offers the least compelling raison d’etre to achieve that goal

Just what thread are you reading??
I still see a lot of Trump stickers and flags. I see a lot of passionate people canvassing for Sanders, Warren and even Buttigieg. Can’t say I’ve encountered one person who is passionate for Biden. I don’t think he can beat Trump.

Left Twitter speculating that she will endorse Biden. Seems likely to me as well.

Not based on what I saw/heard last night. Trump has never spoken with 1/10th the eloquence I heard from Joe last night... not once in his 72 years.

This is next level concern trolling, I give you that.

People didn't vote for Trump because of economic anxiety, research has already established that. They voted for Trump out of racism. I personally think Sanders has better policies than Biden but in the end it doesn't matter - the cancer in our society is an open criminal in the White House. Anyone who gets that person out is the cure.

Bernie didn't manage to create the coalition he claimed (though he has done very well with Hispanics) he would or turn out the elevated number of voters he expected to. When things went wrong the campaign and surrogates said nasty things about the people who didn't vote for them. Doesn't seem like the way to win to me.

I’ve seen it at a few Sanders events, thought it was funny. Not nearly as funny as the weekend at Bernie’s memes with Buttigieg and Klobuchar holding up Biden.

She could piss Bernie Bros off by staying in, and spoil the rest of the primaries without endorsing Biden, but I think she exits gracefully and endorses Biden at this point.

Edit: The troll game is strong

Biden won a bunch of states where he had effectively no campaign at all. Where Sanders had field offices, advertised and volunteers called and knocked on doors. What's the point, they'll wonder, when old people will just watch cable news and out-vote you? Nothing about Biden's shitty record will matter. The dark money spigots will open up again, and he'll probably have a pretty easy time from here on out. Then he'll run in the GE on a platform of "fuck you, nothing is going to change". And either he or Trump will win. Who cares.
Well its not Trump per se you are equating with Biden here, its Putin. Tell me, would you rather be a traitorous Putin Trump peach than a Biden democrat? Cause that is the reality you live in.
