plus if it didnt' fix it canon would know and not take it back! :-O

Did it have a warranty seal? Most scanners do not.

dude what was the thing u said i could do to fix it?

btw i looked for a warranty seal, there is none. which is besides the point. because the instructions say not to open the scanner, there are no servicable parts inside

and even more besides the point...

I couldn't find ANY screws anywhere on the scanner!:shocked::shocked:

The evaluation should reflect how the situation was handled. Receiving a dead item is NOT a big deal, how the seller handles it is.

tfinch, might wanna tone it down a bit, but still, Terumo, seriously...are you doing this just to get a rise out of people? You can't actually be serious....

oh yeah. I concur with the nomination for ownage of the year 2k6.

And won't after your PM. This isn't a game, TF. You don't PM folks to measure your dick publicly.

I asked you a legimate question that you are avoiding. So are PM's private or public? Make up your mind.

Who said anything about dick measuring though?

I don't listen to instruction booklets. In fact I never read them. It may say there are no serviceable parts inside, but trust me there are.

I don't doubt you couldn't find screws. There may not be any and the scanner may use plastic latches all the way around the seam.

i figured it out! people love posting here so much because in the fs/ft thread u can only bump ur own thread once every 4 hours :-D

jk LOL :-D

Is that all left?

Let's see so far by these so-called high heaters (more like BSers) I've been accussed of being....

1. Quasarsky (despite we live states away and totally different IPs and emails).
2. Claimed to be Quasarsky due to my eBay nick.
3. Claimed to be someone else entirely since I posted under TerumoII.

And now these same folks claiming I'm a troll now.

Very bad track record and growing.

Or do you keep ignoring my rebuttal to that 😉

I don't really care who you are. You are not listening to reason and you are just trolling in this thread.

Well I would need to see it (or pics). What I'm thinking by your description is that there is simply a loose cable/connection. What I would have tried is popping the scanner apart and unplugging/plugging back in the connections between the scanning unit and the PCB.

It's what you're doing now. You're trying to win at any cost to help cure a case of flaccidity.

Don't PM folks to carry out warfare on the forums.

You want him to open up the scanner and try to fix it? Thats a good way to mess up the glass and get dust in the unit. I could understand opening something things, but not a scanner.

I don't understand the point of that question.

Its just a neutral rating... Its not the end of the world. I don't see why this thread had to be made.

And I don't see why he was giving an unwarranted neutral.

i tried to do that with someone's combo dvd/vhs player. turns out it wasn't working cause someone had apparently dropped the thing and something got loose inside it. i couldn't figure out where the piece went too. but it appeared to be part of the tray loading mechanism.

i'll still post pics of the scanners when the batteries are done.
