Do you use oil or natural gas to heat your home? How do you prevent water pipes from freezing and bursting?

Is it possible to have the entire computer outside the house and just run lines to it for your monitor, keyboard, mouse, and speakers? Will electronics work when frozen? I would assume you would have to prevent condensation...
Yes. I like mine just fine. And they know how to jump start their own cars! 😀
Oil
Keep the house warm... Pipes don't freeze.
I think there is something in every owners manual about safe operating temperatures for all electronic devices. 😉

More pics in the first post. The ice fog is getting worse.

thanks for ignoring my question 🙁 :|

Sorry about that.

No, you're eyes wont freeze... but you wouldn't want to get into a staring contest either. I don't know if I'm the only one but if I'm out in these temps long enough, my eyes fog up for a couple seconds when I go back inside. Weird...

Ha, you ain't goin home, you work @ Shimeks. That bastard owner of yours is going to keep you there until the last bitter second!

😀

(I have no clue if the same guy who owns the store down here is the same guy who owns the store up there; I've just heard horror stories).

Man, it looks exactly the same down here but about 40degrees warmer (still -5 though).

I don't understand why anyone would choose to live there. But then, many people dont' understand why I like Phoenix summers. 🙂
120 is still 120, I don't care how "dry" it is.

Having experienced 99 degrees with humidity right around 100% and 120 degrees in Utah where it was very dry, I would take the 120 dry heat any day of the week. At least then your body can sweat and it actually works.

I actually traveled to Eielson AFB (near Fairbanks/North Pole AK) in February a couple of years ago for a trial, and I was disappointed to find it was 40+ degrees! I was hoping for a war story, but it wasn't meant to be . . .

Yeah... we had a few years in a row where the jet stream pushed a lot further north than usual and we had some pretty mild winters. Not any more. This January is supposed to be the coldest in 35 years. If we average -44 for the rest of the month we'll be there.

Go team! 😀
