Having experienced 99 degrees with humidity right around 100% and 120 degrees in Utah where it was very dry, I would take the 120 dry heat any day of the week. At least then your body can sweat and it actually works.

I actually traveled to Eielson AFB (near Fairbanks/North Pole AK) in February a couple of years ago for a trial, and I was disappointed to find it was 40+ degrees! I was hoping for a war story, but it wasn't meant to be . . .

Yeah... we had a few years in a row where the jet stream pushed a lot further north than usual and we had some pretty mild winters. Not any more. This January is supposed to be the coldest in 35 years. If we average -44 for the rest of the month we'll be there.
