I'm still somewhat ticked about the deal given Powell. She certainly was one of the chief architects/proponents of the plan and she ends up with misdemeanor convictions which probably means her law license continues (maybe the TX bar committee will turn on her if she EFFECTIVELY turns on Trump). What really burns me is that (from what I read) she can get her record cleared if she stays out of trouble for a limited time in the future (many states [including mine] have similar procedures).

She is such a total wackjob I see her being an even less effective/less persuasive witness than even Michael Cohen was, which is an extremely low bar.

Trump has remained silent about both recent plea deals. Unless some attorney has convinced him to keep his mouth shut (which would be a first) this is a bad indication to me.

The DA knows what is Powell has offered, we don't and she has proven to be a very effective lawyer. I hope she has made the right decision but am very uneasy. Powell should have, at a bare minimum, lost her license to practice law.

Honestly #2 is way more important than him serving any time for criminal acts. My gut is that he'll never do hard time, even if convicted of felonies. A 'Pub president would pardon him (even posthumously), he could pull a Ken Lay before his sentence begins, or there could be some BS agreement for house arrest.

Her reputation is in absolute tatters, I doubt the law license has any practical utility at this point.

If she was pretty and younger like Hope Hicks or sycophant K. McEnany, someone the TT aspires to bed, then sure. In Powell's case, Trump isn't going to tweet his support nor will he chip in for the legal bills. Certainly not after she turns state's evidence against him.

You sure about Powell? Don’t you think Fani Willis has knowledge about who did what that’s just a tiny bit deeper than we, the general public, has?

And maybe her knowledge base is in fact waaay deeper and her assessments are more on target than we, the public, know.

We’ll only find out via the actual court trials as to who did what…if then…while Fani Willis continues to hold her cards close to her, exposing just enough to make one person plead guilty to a felony.

Well, he’s kinda correct. Powell was never HIS attorney, as in his personal, private attorney.

You know in his worm-eaten, late stage syphilletic brain it makes sense.

Bingo. No communication between the two can be protected by privilege. Trump's public statement seals that. Under the law, the definitive test of whether someone is another person's lawyer is whether the putative client believes there is an attorney-client relationship. The short version is this: Trump is an idiot. But then, we already knew that.
