She'll be disbarred as a result. And also, she was Trump's counsel in several cases. It'll be worth it.

Oh, and she'll burn her future on the GQP circuit as well. This will impact her more than on the surface suggests.
She'll likely only be disbarred if she actually testifies against Trump.

She's registered in Texas after all. Repeated complaints and attempts at forcing the Texas State Bar to act against her have gone absolutely nowhere.

The Texas State Bar wants to get rid of her but she is being saved by the Texas judicial system
Judge Andrea Bouressa, who presides in Texas’ 471st District Court, said the commission had not met its burden in proving that Powell had run afoul of Texas’ attorney code of conduct.

However, once she testifies the Bar should have all the evidence they need to get it done.

A felony conviction, which is what this will be, will get her disbarred. Especially one where she pleads guilty. She can't argue that.

Watching the real time reactions from the Qtard base right now is hilarious and pathetic.

When will they realize they were conned?

Other politicians/lawyers/etc. might cut ties in attempts to save their careers, but the fanbase will only dig in their heels further and scream louder about #deepstate and witch hunts. These are not rational people living in reality, and that bubble of theirs is nigh indestructable for many of them...

And yeah she better be supplying enough to send Donnie to jail, for how light that punishment is. My fines for a misdemeanor possession charge were almost as much, and that was over 25 years ago. I also got 20 days in county (I know, it isn't that long), and half of that probation period.

This punishment is NOT enough IMHO. Her offerings to the case had best bury Donnie.

I hope this plea agreement is tied to the type of testimony she can provide. "Oh gee...I don't know ANYTHING about King Donnie doing anything wrong!" should be enough to dIsqualify the deal.

I wonder if this will also open other states to open investigations in to her. Cause Georgia is not the only state she made a mess in

It's funny that the case was decried as a hoax and witch hunt and totally made up charges yet people are pleading guilty left and right...

I think I sorta like this independent news channel: The Meidastouch Network and their views.

They think Trump is fucked but I am cautious.

I hope they're right though.

Addressing the lawyerly folks of this forum, is it at all possible for the other defendants in this case that have already pled not guilty to reverse their pleas in the hopes of negotiating plea deals that would give them better odds at receiving much lighter sentences should they be found guilty at trial?

edit - This is in light of two of their fellow defendants getting plea deals and how that affects the other defendant's chances of defeating the charges against them.

IANAL but it's always possible to change your plea... it might be harder to negotiate leniency the further in you are and the more damning the case against you has become but you can always try as I understand it.

Yeah, 'I'd like to enter a plea because I'm pretty sure I'm about to go to prison and everyone else agrees' isn't a great look.

Sadly, no felony conviction. She only pled guilty to 6 misdemeanor charges, not to the felony racketeering.

Ahahahaha!

It's really too bad she's such an unhinged crack pot. Getting her to testify against the Dumpster is worth about as much as getting the Joker.
