I'm advanced in bench/squat/dead. I don't do cleans and I'm just starting to incorporate standing overhead presses as a regular lift in my weekly routine.

My goals are more bodybuilding than strength oriented though, so that can definitely affect my strength. I am definitely stronger when I am all out bulking than when I have been cutting for a couple months.

As for me, elite in everything (as they should be). :)

Then be the first to post a picture, hotshot.

I am a professional competetive powerlifter, but I don't have any pics of me benching.

When I was a serious about lifting (about three years ago) I was ~ 180lbs, 5'10". I would have been just below advanced in bench (260 max), just below advanced in deads (405), and right between advanced/elite in squat (405).

I've never seen these charts before (and I love exrx.net) but, it's nice to see that I wasn't doing too bad considering I really only lifted seriously for 2 years.

Now I'm back in the gym, have been so for the past month. I'd say, if I did try maxing out (stupid right now) that I'd be smack dab in the intermediate level.

Edit- I should say that the 405 dead was with the "aid" of straps...I don't use gloves...

Considering it's the middle of winter, I don't have many pics of me wearing anything that can really "show off" a physique :p

But thats like in most sports at the top level. They all thin out :p they can't hack the jerking pace :D or hitting beautiful Snatchs anymore :p :D

I know older guys 49 that total 110/135. Very respectable numbers. Hell one guy is 50+ and he C&J 160!

Maybe try Jerking with less weight?

Very strong

A lot of very strong guys on here. More so then in real gyms I train at! Not seen guys that rep near bw let alone over bodyweight. A real lift done properly is a lot different then to how a lot of guys do it.

You are going all the way down so the bar touches your chest (for example in the BP) and it isn't 'floating' 2-3inches off your chest right?! Bouncing it doesn't count also!

I love the descriptions for the classes

Anyway, Advanced on bench/shoulder but Inter on the squat

Best I've done on the bench for weight vs strength is 5'11" 135lbs 200lbs 1 proper rep

I would love to see someone who weighs the same as me bench 260, though. Chart seems kinda innacurate.

I might come pretty close.
Weight fluctuates around 135-140 (actually lost a bit after surgery and haven't been able to put it back on).
I dumbbell bench 80 lbs for 8 reps for 3 sets.
That's probably the equiv of barbell bench 180-190 so according to the calculator, that's about 230 for a 1RM.
I've never actually tried maxing though... I really should.

Another reason why everyone has inflated stats on here. If you have never done a max lift then you cannot use a chart to tell you, especially for a lift over 3 reps. The difference between 3 reps and one rep is so different that it is completely inaccurate to say your max is whatever, even more so if you never do a max lift because then your CNS definately is not trained.

I'd be advanced on the bench press, elite on the shoulder press, intermediate on the squat, intermediate on the deadlifts.

For some reason the shoulder press rating seems to be off by a lot. 234 for 1 rep max makes you elite? I don't see how 146 is intermediate, I use 135 lbs as my warm up set and do a set of 8. It's not like my shoulders are real cut or anything.

I was one of those real skinny yet strong kids growing up, then I got pretty chunky, then I lifted for years and got somewhat normal looking, with good strength. My hands limit my deadlift, since my back and legs can easily lift the bar, but without wraps I have trouble lifting much over 300 lbs. With the wraps that's fairly easy.

I remember when I worked out in high school, my 1 rep max wasn't much more than what I could do for 10. I was all endurance yet still had some strength. Then when I got fatter, my 1 rep max went up a lot, but I lost endurance. Now it's somewhere in between.

I'd say im novice, 140 lbs and can bench about 130-135. Though I am only 14, so that may be a factor.

Intermediate, I think I look good. I don't want to make myself any bigger.

I know a guy who weighs 160 and can bench press 425. Of course, he has no legs so I wonder what that would make him... advanced?
