Yes, Jinny. You always include the bar when figuring weight.

Ah I forgot to put the :p at the end so he would know I was just giving him a hard time :p

Yea, that's not too bad - you're getting there ;)

i almost never max out, especially with the heavier exercises (squat/deadlift), but roughly:

bench: between advanced and elite
shoulder press: between advanced and elite
squat: advanced
deadlift: intermediate
power clean: i do a different variety where i end with a shoulder press, so no clue

gotta kick the squat and deadlift into high gear, i guess :)

Hey man, I'm just maintaining. I've actually been maintaining for awhile. I know I don't have a monster bench, but 400 is fine with me. Anymore and I'm going to lose a lot of speed. ;)

Haha! I'd say 400 is pretty close to a monster bench ;)

DeadLift: Intermediate
Power Clean: Advanced

Last year I would have been very close to advanced for all lifts (except cleans), but my final semester of college kind of took it's toll on me. I'll be back in shape for summer though.

I'm 5'6" and just under 150lbs. Lost 5-10 over the last 3 mo. :(

I read only 10% of people can actually BP their own bodyweight for 1rep :p. A LOT less can do the bench mark of 1.5x bw.

I'd like to see someone strict press bodyweight. That is a huge thing to do and rarely seen in a gym.

The Gold Standards are:

Military Press 1x bw
Bench Press 1.5x bw
Squat 2x bw
Deadlift 2.5x bw

If you can do those 4 in a session most people would say your pretty much a monster.

I don't power clean...

When you get older you'll understand why. :p

I rarely power clean also. I mostly do full Snatchs and Clean and Jerks. I can tear apart 100-110Kg power clean and power Jerk it easily. I full Cleaned 135Kg 6 weeks ago, now to only Jerk the sodding weight!

I know a few older guys that lift a lot still. One guy C&J 180Kg @ 94Kg and hes early 40's...he was an ex commonwealth medalist though :D

My first comp of the year this Saturday. Hunting down new PB's :D

Anytime I try doing jerking motions (shut up) I injure myself. Slow, deliberate motions for me now. Notice how the ranks of guys who do stuff like that thins out considerably as they get older?

I'm calling BS on many of the posters on here. No way that on a computer forum that many people bench over 300 with under 200 body weight. Sorry, lets start seeing pics with your posts. (Not you koing or amused, or the other regular lifters here, the other dudes that randomly post in these threads to make their fake e-penis ++++)

As for me, elite in everything (as they should be). :)

So does your workout equipment consist of a belt, some chalk, and a walker to get there? LOL just kidding old man. :p Just kidding again. Your stats are awesome for your age.

I guess when you actually do it, it doesn't seem like a big deal. I remember seeing this guy doing 225 five times on bench, and was like, "WOW, that guy is really strong! He did 225 FIVE TIMES!!" Now I look back and say, "meh, not so strong." But sometimes you're in the gym comparing yourself to other guys and forget that the average Joe off the street has problems doing 135lbs on bench.

All right! The benchpress is the ultimate in strength measurement!

Heh. Used to be up to ~225 until I dislocated my shoulder. Now probably around ~175 w/ better strength endurance. Wt. is 160.

Advanced for the 132lb bench press.

I would love to see someone who weighs the same as me bench 260, though. Chart seems kinda innacurate.

Notice I included links to many other compound exercises?

I only posted the bench because formatting it was a pain in the ass.

I am bashful.

Plus, I actually do not know how much I max using barbells. I just do 3 sets of 80 or 85 dumbbells (depends on the tide) when benching.

I have to agree here. Being 5'4'' and not having sheer size on my side im good for around 240ish natural. I met alot of guys in college who would always claim to bench more than me after they heard what my #s were. I always knew they were bullshitting me. I know Im not the strongest guy on the block and never will be but I dont try to compete with the guys over 6' weigh 240.
