US support is starting to waver, and while European governments are stepping up, their citizens are losing faith.

In principle, we should all want Ukraine to win this war and regain all the territory seized by Russia since 2014. In practice, that outcome will not be attainable in the absence of a collapse of either the Russian government or the Russian army’s morale, neither of which seems imminent. Rather than risk a protracted war with the added danger of waning Western support, Ukraine needs to lock in what it has already achieved. It has exposed the limits of Russian military power. It has established credible claims to EU and North Atlantic Treaty Organization membership. It has transformed its international image from a den of corruption to a land of heroes.
More than you might think can be achieved while you await the return of enemy-occupied territories. Think only of South Korea’s extraordinary economic and political progress over 70 years, even though the armistice of 1953 has never become a fully fledged peace and there remains a highly dangerous border zone between it and a hostile neighbor. Fact: In 1991, per capita GDP was slightly higher in Ukraine than in South Korea. Today, South Koreans are four times richer.
Sounds like someone is trying to sell a frozen conflict to the public. I told you guys this last month:
-Blinken in Ukraine for not a 1 day visit like usual, but a 2 day visit. Most likely there to convince Zelensky into a frozen conflict
-Blinken stating if Ukraine wants to negotiate, we will be right there with them
-Poland lashing out at Ukraine. No way Poland lashes out at Zelensky without the backing/approval of the US to provide diplomatic cover
-Botched Ukrainian missile strike that killed 17. Tried to blame it on Russia then got caught by the NYT
-Kissinger met with Zelensky, IMO to try and sell him on a frozen conflict
-Support for continued funding of the proxy war dropping, not just here but in the EU
-Elections in a little over a year and Bidens approval rating are in the tank, which would also drag down the Democratic Party
- Hyped counteroffensive producing 0.25% gains
-EU energy prices will rise in the next 2 seasons due to weather, and Putin/MBS colluding to screw over Biden on oil shortages
NATO DESPERATLY wants a frozen conflict. They’re trying to get Zelensky to say the magic words so they can all say they support Ukraines decision to a frozen conflict, blah blah blah.
The problem of course, is NATO has rejected any idea of a peace agreement/frozen conflict in the past. Not to mention, these clowns never keep their words on these types of agreements. Didn’t happen with Minsk 2, and didn’t happen when a reported agreement was reached last March by Ukraine and Russia only to have Boris Johnson come in and tear it all up.
My guess? Russia tells them to fuck off once they’re done grinding down enough Ukrainian troops in the north and south, they will launch a new offensive once the cold/mud/rain/snow seasons sets in.
