This outcome for Girkin is only slightly less good then him ending up in The Hague.

Been reading Isaacson biography and in the white South African culture of the 70's and 80's, fighting was fairly common to settle arguments. In the early days of Zip2, Elon and Kimbal Musk would get into a argument and things would quickly escalate into a physical altercation. Seems like Musk still has that habit. In Russia it still might be the same thing.

In Russia business disagreements (and rivals) are often handled with murder. Look at any Russian tycoon and company owner, you will likely see a collection of mean looking security goons and more than one vehicle. That isn't vanity.

A spoiled rich kid who scrapped with his brother thinking he can dance with mafia and ex military, yikes. Elon should make a habit out of not embarrassing himself.

Who cares? He’s not going any further in politics.
Can he be reelected FL govner? That guy should have no platform from which to bleat.

Is DeSantis term limited in Florida?

Incumbent Governor Ron DeSantis will be term limited through the state's constitution and cannot run for reelection to a third term.

I suppose he could run for Senator from FL. Heaven forbid he wins that (or even tries).

I think that's beyond him now.

You're right, he could run for the senate. Ugh.

@Young Grasshopper as a lover of peace you gave to be happy about Russia’s recent losses.

Correct?

The counter-offensive that began in June was based on the hope that Ukrainian soldiers, equipped with modern Western weapons and after training in Germany, would recapture enough territory to put their leaders in a strong position at any subsequent negotiations.

This plan is not working. Despite heroic efforts and breaches of Russian defences near Robotyne, Ukraine has liberated less than 0.25% of the territory that Russia occupied in June. The 1,000km front line has barely shifted.

LOL. That’s what winning looks like.

578 days into Russia's 3 day military operation (invasion of Ukraine) is one heck of a winning look for Russia.

Actually it was Milley who predicted it would take 3 days:

Keep trying though.

Why does Russia keep failing and losing ground?

Ukraine has retaken a bit over 50% of the land Russia captured in the opening months of the war. That is what winning looks like - yes.

And as a lover of peace I'm sure this is great news to you - it shows that aggression doesn't pay and untold thousands of orcs were sent to their deaths for nothing. Agree?

LOL, you sad sack.

Russia's operational plan was predicated on a quick knockout. Their plan was 3 days or less as well. But they fucked it up.

Hey @Young Grasshopper
Want to make more money? You can be a hero who helped end the war and save many more Russian lives.
You would like that, wouldn't you?
Faster the Russian commanders die, sooner your boys can go home and live.

How Russia’s Salary Woes Helped Ukraine Strike the Black Sea Fleet HQ

According to Ukrainian partisans, recruiting Russian officers to help plan the devastating missile attack on Russia's Black Sea Fleet was made easier by the fact many hadn’t been paid by the Kremlin.
