^^^ No, they can't. I was at a neighborhood gathering a few days ago. One said something about being afraid the Orange guy might go to jail. Another immediately chimed in with 'yeah but Benghazi ...'.

Not kidding. Heard it in person with my own ears.

I just shrugged.

Can people not see what and evil and egotistical person Trump is?
The premise of this very question is a misunderstanding of psychology.
All you need to ask is if they Identify with / as Trump. The rest of the story writes itself, as our Egos will tell any lie necessary to obey Dear Leader.
The basic Human OS is a house of cards, written with self delusions. It is our very nature to "not see".

If Republicans choose Trump, and Trump wants to suck off Putin, the vast majority of the Republican Party will line up and get on their knees.
The old guard who do not ID with Trump, and who would still choose America over Russia, they will quickly be replaced. Like Romney.

If you have any further doubts, remember that we are the species that invented religion. Do not pretend that we have strayed one inch from those fallacies. Humans just replace one sky fairy with another.

I love how Trump seems intent on rewarding everything Putin did.
Is the US, the supposed champion of democracy, just going to ignore the all the deaths, the war crimes, and immense destruction they caused in their totally unjustified war and say "good job"? These Trump cultists, and possibly the majority of Americans, are going to vote for a man who stands up for a brutal and evil dictator and punish Ukraine? Can people not see what and evil and egotistical person Trump is?

Read my sig.

Wrong thread mate :)
US election will be no joke this time around.
Trump HAS to be part of Putin's long term plan.
Russia has little hope of victory over NATO unless a US puppet trashes NATO.

We can only fall from within, and that is an opening that Russia NEEDS. Do not underestimate their desperation for making it happen.

This sounds incredibly useful.

I just read that and was coming here to post; more great news. Did they send bigrep Pros I wonder, or maybe the rrreally big ones? Ukrainians have been doing a lot with the smaller hobbyist level printers so I'm excited to see how they make these count. Before it was just homemade explosives to drop from drones, now they'll be able to fab tools and spare parts for vehicles, probably more.

May the gifts keep coming. I'd really like to see more generators arrive too, big ones. Have a feeling this winter will be a real one, and Putin will return to targeting power and water soon.

I think the Russians probably plan to do this again but Ukraine can now mount reciprocal attacks with their own drones. Could be a cold, dark winter for many Russians in the neighboring oblasts.

Yep, reciprocity will be the watchword this time around, I just wish Putin cared enough about his own people that the return fire would provide a measure of deterrence. Last winter is still fresh in everyone's mind, I bet Ukraine is much better prepared for this one than nearby Russian areas. Back up outhouses will be dug out before the freeze, I'm sure the stockpiling of food and water has already begun. They probably have a bit of winter specific things left over from last winter's aid too, and of course they'll get more.

Makes me realize I need to start thinking about what I want to send Ukraine for Xmas.

Another huge embarrassment for Putin, Armenia publicly calls nears exclusive reliance on Russia for security “strategic mistake”

You think?

"Armenia has invested 30 years of its independence – I would even say 200 years of its recent history – in firmly believing that when the time comes and when need arises, Russia would deliver on its strategic obligations and defend Armenia against any foreign aggression. That did not happen in 2020, nor in 2021, nor in 2022,”

Got a little something on your face there Putler

I'd have rather seen Kaddy and The Cook in a Nuremberg style courtroom, but at least it seems both knew what was happening and suffered somewhat.

Wow... just no empathy inside Russia. Noone stops to give aid.

Russians are born and raised believing that life is meaningless, that there is no hope. There is literally zero value ascribed to human life, or any life, among the vast majority of Russians. This is how it has been for centuries. They have been a people occupied and controlled by terrorists and mafioso shitclowns from the very beginning of their miserable history. It has never been different within Russia, so this is how it will always be for them.

Honestly, why should they give a shit about the next meatbag getting plowed into and killed this way, by those in power? It is all they know, and they all assume they will be dead tomorrow, anyway. It is all tomorrow is. If anything, they envy that poor dead idiot because it least he's gotten this existence over with. The rest on that street still have to keep living in fucking Russia.

There's a rumor Kadyrov had his personal physician Elkhan Suleymanov buried alive a few days before he went into a coma, for "trying to poison him."

Suleymanov's Instagram page had a link to a cocaine dealer in Dubai? All kinds of weird

There are reports that China have effectively cut off Russia at the knees. Maybe in reaction to their attempt of a deal with North Korea?

If this is true, its likely that there will be no military equipment coming from North Korea. Maybe the whole North Korean meeting was a bluff to the West... try to convince them that Russia is in it for the long war. But with China out of this game, I can't see North Korea being willing to keep Russia in the game.

I still say China needs to do a bit of saber rattling in the east. Move large numbers of troops and equipment towards the border and make sure Vlad knows it. No need to cross the border, just make Vlad think they might and move troops just in case, enough to put a further drain on resources.

BTW, regarding the reasoning... and cause of this war.
I noticed a detail that I had not known of before, coming from this.

Behind the scenes in Zelenskyi’s office just before the invasion

The Biden Administration was especially and unusually vocal about the looming Russian threat. It had first sounded an alarm in March and April 2021, when Russia began massing thousands of personnel and military equipment near its border with Ukraine and in occupied Crimea.
Look at that. Mere weeks into the Biden administration. Not after Trump lost the election. But after Trump's attempted coup over the United States government failed. Once Putin's puppet was truly out of power. Once Trump could no longer deliver a splintered and destroyed NATO. The moment that was no longer possible, Putin gave the order and Russia started its preparations for the full scale invasion.

Trump AND the insurrection factored into Putin's plans.
Do not underestimate the threat of what Republicans can deliver for Russia. This entire Genocide was planned around it.
Listen to Republican media, every single day they attack Ukraine, slander Zelensky and pave the way for stabbing Ukraine, Europe, NATO in the back.
The moment Republicans gain enough power, they will side with Russia. Treason.
Its long been my guess that the hasty withdrawal from Afghanistan was motivated by forecasted Russian aggression and Biden wanted to close a vulnerability and regroup resources.
