yep, MJF is just playin' up Parkinson's for the hell of it....

/some of you are just so sad....

Obviously it wouldn`t have mattered ig MJF was acting and had even missed a dose of 2...MJF can do no wrong..lol

You are so dumb that you really deserve to be put out of your misery. You haven't contributed one even semi-intelligent thing to any discussion in the last year.. just trolling comments with little to no semblance to reality.

Btw, not taking medications to show the profound ailments of a disease in order to show people JUST HOW IMPORTANT stem cell research is... where real live people need help instead of "saving" stem cells that will be trashed anyhow...

A July 18th interview with Mr. Fox on ABCs Good Morning America, he is no where near as bad as he is in the commercial. Link

Precisely what has that to do with anything?
umm watch the video in the OP and then that video and look at the difference, duh.

You teach Medicine too?

Diseases like these often vary from day-to-day. Others get progressively worse. Watching 2 different videos means F all.

ProfJohn is doing his best to be like his hero "doctor" Bill Frist, diagnosing people from the comfort of his living room

For the record, part of what Rush actually said.
Now, people are telling me that they have seen Michael J. Fox in interviews and he does appear the same way in the interviews as he does in this commercial for Claire McCaskill. All right, then I stand corrected. I've seen him on Boston Legal. I've seen him on a number of stand-up appearances. I know he's got it; it's pitiable that he has the disease. It is a debilitating disease, and I understand that fully. Just stick with me on this.

All I'm saying is I've never seen him the way he appears in this commercial for Claire McCaskill. So I will bigly, hugely admit that I was wrong, and I will apologize to Michael J. Fox, if I am wrong in characterizing his behavior on this commercial as an act, especially since people are telling me they have seen him this way on other interviews and in other television appearances.

Make up your mind Professor. Either you saw a "huge difference" between the two videos or you didn't. DO you have any of your OWN thoughts on this?
I never said I saw a "huge" difference. We have enough misinformation on here without people putting words into peoples mouths.

What I did say was "he is no where near as bad as he is in the commercial" for the ABC story, which I think he true. You can tell he is suffering, but there is no moving side to side.

And on the TV show clip there is no doubt at all that he shows very little evidence of Parkinson's.

I would like to see a clip from this years Boston Legal.
If he can control it for the TV show, either via medicine or filming during his "good" days or moments, then why didn't they do that for the TV commercial?

Can anyone offer me an explanation for that? Other than the obvious, the Fox in the commercial is going to be a lot more effective than the TV show Fox will be.

BTW: Everything above is MY thoughts. Now go look at all three videos and tell me what you think of the differences between them.

Pardon me, you said "umm watch the video in the OP and then that video and look at the difference, duh."

And. after many people with first hand knowledge of the diesase have pointed out that people with Parkinson's have good and bad days, you are still posting video's of MJF trying to support a case of fraud against him.

Simply unbelievable.

When you see how well the insane are defended you give up on the notion that they will be influenced by a direct confrontation with reality. Think about it. Insanity is that which we escape into to prevent that. You need instead to convince the Professor that if he ever did want perhaps to reenter reality that he would not die. You can, by letting him take baby steps, lead him back to the situation that caused his mind to split and his pain to do underground. You need to suggest that pain not felt is still hell. It won't help, of course, but it will be closer to what's going on and require less of a leap of imagination on his part should that ever happen.

Tell me oh wise "professor," what's the difference between the two phrases bolded above? Seems like "...he is no where near as bad..." is pretty much a "huge" difference, is it not? Your Clintonian parsing of words notwithstanding.

The point is: Fox is suffering a horribly debilitating disease that takes a huge toll on the body. However, to politicize his suffering is just plain wrong. Especially since we have no clue if stem cells will even work in finding a cure.

They don't call it stem cell RESEARCH for nothing.

ProfJohn and Pabster, you guys are complete and utter tools.

Spoken from the first tool in the drawer...

Parkinson's sufferers have good and bad days, some days they are as solid as rocks and others as shaky as a twig in a gale force wind. It doesn't matter how many meds they are on. Furthermore, many shows edit out MJF's "bad times" to make it appear better.

Don't tell me about Parkinson's, son. I have 2 family members who suffer from it.

You guys will stoop to any level to try and besmirch people. I have personally seen Parkinson's sufferers in my life and it ain't pretty. You guys need to get a clue.

See above.

First off, I am not your "son" you jerk. Don't try and belittle me by acting like an adult or a superior, you are neither in my opinion. I don't try and belittle you in such a way and I ask for the same.

Second, your attitude towards this situation really belies your experiences. If you did have personal appreciation for this disease you wouldn't be agreeing with Limbaugh. However, considering your actual attitude I can only surmise that you have little to no personal experience, or, you are just being a partisan tool.

I concur. The bizarre, inexplicable, hateful garbage spewed against someone suffering from a horrendous disease disgusts me. Desperation is no excuse. You people need psychological help. The fact that a (supposedly anyway, lying from such a person would not surprise me in the least) person with relatives suffering with this disease makes their despicable attitudes all the more reprehensible. GTH.

If memory serves Pabster is something like 25, far too young to have fathered anyone in P&N. This is definitely just partisan trolling by the same morons who "diagnosed" Terri Schiavo as healthy when 90% of her brain had withered away. You would think they'd have enough shame to feel bad about insinuating that a man with Parkinson's is malingering, but you'd be wrong.

You are off by 2 years 😛

And those afflicted aren't my children, they are my mother and her sister.

I never once attacked MJF, I never suggested he was "faking" anything, my comments were purely related to the political aspect of the advertisement.

EDIT: Might be appropriate to post a link to the video so people can see what the fuss is about. Here it is.

he meant because you referred to your intellectual superior as "son".
btw, don't ever have kids. You should have a vasectomy immediately.

Michael J. Fox is usually on his medication. It allows him to lead a rather normal life. But, Fox routinely goes off of his meds when speaking for Parkinson's Research to show what it does to people.

That is why Rush and others have said that he was faking the spasms / jerky movements. Most people see Fox in interviews and on Boston Legal and he seems very normal. So when he goes off his meds and makes a commercial, it is surprising.

He's a cool black dude, nothing wrong with that.

Unless you were posting in Hot Deals, that would indicate that you are a spammer.

I don't think he was complementing him.

These guys called triple amputee vietnam senator Max Cleland a traitor. Some Hollywood actor with cronic desease is road kill for certain elements in the Republican party.

Being disabled or having a debilitating disease doesn't give you the right to be a piece of sh!t. Shame on everyone involved for using this illness for potential political gain. This BS isn't about stem cell research, it's about getting votes and putting money in Michael's bank account. Everyone involved can eat a turd.

Stem Cell research is important. In your case, it can help grow you a heart and brain....

Shame on who?

Please explain wtf you are talking about?

Did people vote for bush because he is a born again christian and a recovering alcoholic and cocaine abuser?

Well cheer up, I got bored while driving---and decided to listen to the windbag today---he is still trashing Fox--and his loyal listeners are eating it up.

Basic message---anyone who has a pro-GOP message is a savant to be trusted---anyone with anything critical to say about the GOP or stem cell research
is fair game.--------attack the messenger---not the message.

But the gauntlet is now laid down---expect to be slimed if you say anything Rush himself does not approve of.

I wonder if they make him buy a hunting license?---or what the bag limit is?
