I have a feeling this so called "recount" will go on and on until they can announce that Trump "really won". And if he did not "really won", they won't let THAT stop them. Think about it.... if they found nothing to support their claims of massive ballot fraud, how in the hell would they ever announce this to Trump? They wouldn't, they couldn't. If they re-counted and concluded that everything was fine then Donald Trump would attack them too. Trump would find some reason to accuse them of being a part of the Biden ballot fraud. I personally doubt Trump will run in 2024 and if he does I'm not even sure he would win the nomination - his support for being the GOP nominee already seems to be deteriorating and I expect him to take a similar trajectory to Palin. If I had to bet I would say that he or one of his close family members will have been indicted by that point anyway so he may have bigger fish to fry than trying to run for office.

2024? As if the GQP won't be using every dirty trick in the book to turn the House/Senate back over to their control in 2022!

Example: Recalling Newsome would give the GQP the ability to appoint a new Secretary of State, which would also give them the power to purge voter rolls and mess with voting machines. Thank God they can't mess with redistricting, or they'd do that too. Turning Orange County red again is a priority for retaking the House.

As a whole, Orange County is a swing area roughly split geographically (N/S). Much different times. The state wasn't a GOP wasteland back then, and Californians stupidly believed that Davis was responsible for the electricity crisis that was championed by predecessor Pete Wilson.

I don't know how you pull it off strategically, but the Democrats might be wise to put a viable candidate on the challengers ballot just in case. It would take a major crisis for Newsom to be voted out, but I'm far from convinced one of the GOP's usual suspects can even defeat a worthy (D) contender at this time.

Californians will probably do it all over again with caitlyn jenner. I mean, caitlyn jenner certainly sounds fun if your a Californian .
