Think I'm going to miss her more in Catastrophe than any new Star Wars.
crap! I forgot about her brilliant role in that.

RIP. Definitely have a soft spot for Carrie Fisher.
I'm sure they could do CGI. Rogue One had a CGI Grand Moff Tarkin that looked great.
well she did hop in the sack with george a few times during the filming of Star Wars.
Just annoyed and the childish nonsense of blaming a date on a calendar for any event. Why not blame a month, or day of the week, or hour of the day? 2016 didn't have a damn thing to do with her death, it is just the timeline that marks her death.... and that of the approximately 55.3 million other people that died this year.
It's not just the deaths. The deaths are bad, and being so concentrated among a certain class of actual icons--we also have an obvious and steady rise of fascism going on throughout the world this year. This year has been pure shit for anyone looking at the world with objective lens.
Another example that life is too damn short. George Michael and Carrie Fisher both lived life on their terms. Which few people are afraid to do because too many of us are trying to play life safe. And for what? You're going to die. I'd rather take risk and fail than to live someone else's life.
In the end, no one is going to remember your name if you don't do great things in life. For 99% of us we will fade into the pages of history. Never standing out because we were playing it safe.
Maybe if she hadn't been addicted to drugs for decades she would have lived longer.... nor was she in the 50-55 range...

it was Harrison ford.sorry it was Ford and its in her book.
until it moved, talked, walked in any direction--basically any actions that are supposed to be human. I thought it was wretched. Great for a a videogame filled with those creatures, but not next to real humans being humans.
Tarkin in Rogue One is the perfect example of The Uncanny Valley.
I had someone ask me if he was real cause it was that good, so you may be in the minority there.
News report just flashed up that mom taken to the hospital, talk of possible stoke.
