The question is, are companies not allowed to pay tribute to famous people now, even if it's obvious marketing? I don't feel like it was done in poor taste. She & her hair are cultural icons.
If people are mad at Cinnabon, they should be mad at Lucas Film/Disney too for all the Star Wars mentions -- and probably every other Twitter user in case they get picked up on the news or retweeted by someone famous. Free marketing, yo.
And the SJW... People love getting mad. They may even be giving shit to Billie Lourd's co-stars in Scream Queens for not tweeting how sorry they are... because everyone knows that her friends/co-workers didn't talk to her in person, on the phone, or use any other means of communication.
