Blaming a specific year is rather immature. You probably blamed 2015 for those that died last year, and 2014.... and so....

People die, a fact of life, a reality that some don't seem able to comprehend....

Yeah,i dont know wtf is this 2016 thing?people die all the time,it just happens 2016 was their time.fucking weird.i will drop at 2032.*shrug*

Blaming 2016 is the same foolish social media echoing that bounces off of groups of people. It's a viral phrasing that permeates throughout the entire Internet. It's nothing new.

Also, is it that bad to blame 2016? It's rounded off both ends with celebrity deaths, and blaming the year doesn't hurt anyone.

You Seriously think folks are blaming 2016 as if it's some sort of entity? Its just a rant like I hate Mondays. Turn off your literal optimizer.

Take a look at the celebrity death from '13, '14 and '15. Most of the grade A iconic celebrities were in their 70s or 80s. This year there is a surprising crop younger celebrity deaths, 60 and younger, and not just people who's claim to fame was being a one hit wonder, these are those who spanned a couple of generation of fame. With Carrie Fisher, Prince and George Michael being more well known than any of the sub 60 deaths in recent years. It's like the grim reaper decided to drop down a generation and take out some iconic big names.

Why blame anything? It's reality, no one gets out alive.... no one, so suck it up buttercup, or is it more correct to say "snowflake" these days.....

Gosh, you're cranky.
Just annoyed and the childish nonsense of blaming a date on a calendar for any event. Why not blame a month, or day of the week, or hour of the day? 2016 didn't have a damn thing to do with her death, it is just the timeline that marks her death.... and that of the approximately 55.3 million other people that died this year.

Soo.. why talk about anything, then?

Years are kind of how we define events in a lot of ways. They are just as good of a measure as any, and actually better than most. They represent a rotation around the sun, which is how we define our calendar.

In a cosmic sense, perhaps unimportant. But in a cosmic sense, why even bother typing on an internet message board or care about life at all?

Maybe if she hadn't been addicted to drugs for decades she would have lived longer.... nor was she in the 50-55 range...

We do a really bad job with death in our western culture. We act like we aren't supposed to die.

Then why troll in this thread and just move on... An above normal of celebrities and musicians have passed away this year. And 2016 happens to be this year.
