I wanted to get F1 2010, but not for $20. Guess I'll be hoping for a Summer sale on it.![]()
The game just came out 3 months ago... give it some time. $20 (50% off) is an awesome deal as-is, and plus, it's a good game. Did you really expect it to be any cheaper?
The Valve deal just doubled. Was going to get it for a friend for Christmas, but it isn't worth it at $50 now. At $25 it would have been a nice gift though.
Give me a break. For less than the price of the newest shitty Call of Duty title, you're getting every single game Valve has ever made. You're already saving $130. Is an extra $25 really that important? Especially for a few titles which are considered some of the greatest PC games ever made?
I can understand if it's just a gift thing though.
Most of those indie games are just plain terrible. It's like programming students at some community college are just cranking out any 2D garbage they can think of, and people buy it on Steam.
I bought a pack last time and one of the games had a scientist with a robot attached to him. I used the robot to assemble a fridge, a propane grill, and a toaster into some kind of gadget... then I deleted the game because that was just freaking stupid.
Unfortunately this is somewhat true. However, I've found that the indie packs usually have a mix of a couple of great games, while the others are mediocre. Because of this it's still worth it. For example, if an Indie pack consists of 4 games, and costs 5$, you're still getting a great deal even though only two games are very good. This is assuming that the games in the pack are already > $5 retail price.
