Their servers must be getting crushed. I'll wait until tonight to browse. I can't really think of any major games I'd like to buy other than Metro 2033. Thought about Darksiders and the new Lara Croft game, but they both seem like they'd be better on a console.

Darksiders is AWESOME on a computer, however, you will need an XBox controller for best control. I was running it very smoothly with an E8400 and 8800GT with 8 gig of ram. This is long game, btw. I've put in about 7 hours and may be about 1/3 through and still getting new items and moves to use.

Lara Croft was also great on the computer. Not too long of a game however. Did have one level where my computer bogged down, but otherwise ran very smoothly. Played with kb and mouse, no problems.

Got Bioshock fro $5 for now.

Do you guys think the orange box is a good deal at $15? I already got HL2 but I've always wanted to play Portal, and TF2 with people talking about it a lot.

Yes, but it may come on sale for cheaper yet. I have seen it as low as $7.50.

The Valve deal just doubled. Was going to get it for a friend for Christmas, but it isn't worth it at $50 now. At $25 it would have been a nice gift though.

BC2 and Fear 1 today. I really wanted FO3, but for $20 I'll play through my backlog and wait for next time.

Most of those indie games are just plain terrible. It's like programming students at some community college are just cranking out any 2D garbage they can think of, and people buy it on Steam.

I bought a pack last time and one of the games had a scientist with a robot attached to him. I used the robot to assemble a fridge, a propane grill, and a toaster into some kind of gadget... then I deleted the game because that was just freaking stupid.

super meat boy was the only game i bought recently. it is EXCELLENT 🙂
very difficult, without being cheap. i beat the last boss (?) with about 35-40% of the game complete, even after i do the remaining 60% there's tons of replay left in it.
