For some reason Multiplayer is broken for me. I can't join Free Roam, it keeps telling me that the game ended my session due to not being able to connect to other players or something. I got into free roam maybe twice for 3 minutes but I would see one or two other people online.

XBox Live works just fine for MW2, Bioshock 2, and Halo 3.

Hah, it did the same thing to me. I'm sure it was their servers. I tried again a half hour later and was fine the rest of the night.

I finally started the Single Player and it glitched on me already. When getting ready to take a tour of the town, Bonnie wouldn't move and if I rode away it would keep telling me to return to her. I had to reload from the last checkpoint and it worked fine after that.

I hope this doesn't happen often :)

One of my favorite things to do in the game is to stop and help those people who throw you off your horse and steal it.

I almost look forward to it. (One time I caught myself muttering under my breath, "yeah motherfucker, just try it." - It was a lil creepy now that i think about it)

As soon as I get up, I dead-eye them right in the back of their head and loot their ass.

There is no greater satisfaction.

Lately I'll either whistle for my horse so it bucks them off or give them a preemptive lassoing and drag their ass around ("Sure, I'll give you a ride!").

BTW, I have about 75 hours put in this game (not sure if that counts free roam) and I still haven't completed the main story arc. But to put it in perspective, I've completed all ambient challenges except for hunting.

Encountered my first game bug last night;

I was doing a bounty side mission (ones from the wanted posters), captured the bandito alive, dropped him off at the sherrif's place, got the "Bandits taken alive +1", but then nothing else... no money, and no outfit update (which was the reason I was doing it in the first place). Almost immediately the wanted poster popped back up for the same guy, lame.

Single player and multiplayer stats are kept separately as far as I can tell. You get different play times if you check your stats in single player than if you checked it in multiplayer.

Ride up near the area, but make sure to get off your horse before you get close. Kind of sneak up on the guy standing there until he starts talking. Proceed from there.

I'm way beyond pissed about not getting it on pc release day, pc might get it but it's gonna be next year probably. I'm seriously buying a 360 the day after Xmas and picking this game up with the console.

I played it on ps3 and this game is bad ass, I loved reddead revolver so when I heard about this I knew I would buy a new console just to get this game. It's a shame about pc not getting it right away, this game would be awesome on pc.

I want to wait for it on pc but it will probably be like gta4 and be optimized like a floating turd and I'd need to upgrade to a i7 quad to run it.. Xmas is gonna take forever o get here for me....

FINALLY, finished the single player campaign last night. Still have a few things to do to get 100% but the story is complete. It's kind of crazy but I like how the game ends.
It's weird to be playing as Jack Marston now. I'm surprised they went to the trouble of having a completely different set of recorded dialogue for a character that's only available once the story is complete.
I think it would be great if Rockstar put out some DLC along the lines of GTAIV's TLAD or BOGT
that star Jack.

I can't believe I've put almost 120 hours into the single player alone (I've spent plenty of time in free roam as well!) and I'm still not sick of it yet.

So I played some free roam with a friend last night. It's kinda cool but the whole thing is just a deathmatch. You can't go anywhere without getting shot in the back. I'll keep spawning and getting sniped by some guy 300 yards away before I can do anything, and I can't get a sniper rifle until I level up enough. Even if we tried to get away to do something else, someone would follow us across the map just to kill us. And good luck getting a gang hideout done smoothly because the other players keep killing you instead of the bad guys.

Is there anyway to lasso a deer, or is it always insta-drag?

Some people are cock suckers online, but it gets a lot more fun when people aren't.

hard to say

if the coop DLC delivers some real fun and put more out, then for sure it should last 6 months I would think

I just played this for the first time yesterday. Only played for like an hour.

So far i really enjoy it. I was never a big fan of GTA. The concept of a sandbox game always seemed more interesting than the end result and GTA too often turned into a running from the cops game.

After just an hour I can see that i will like this more.

The only problem i have so far is the total lack of direction. I get that its open ended but the start is almost too open..in the sense that i dont get wtf to do. I went to the sherrif and did a couple of his missions but i feel like im missing something.

If you have letters on your map then you always have something to do. If you see wanted posters near by you always have something to do. You can see where this is going. Long story short, you will ALWAYS have something to do and an objective to follow if you so choose... or you can just screw around and help the random folk you run into if you wish.

Played for another hour and half last night. Going back to finish the Bonnie missions at the start made everything make a lot more sense instead of just doing the sherrif ones.

Is there gonna be any reason to go back to her?

The poker game is cool....but really feels a bit like a waste of time. It sure feels like i can make money faster doing other things.

I got the treasure map from the treasure hunter and found the treasure at the first place (recognized it immediately from riding there for the stallion) but dont know where the second one is and am reallly excited to keep an eye out for it.

I bought the room in armadillo for $50. Is that stupid?

So far....lovin it.

Once you've finished her missions, she's not even around.

Yeah, it's far more lucrative to just go out and kill wolves if making money is your goal. I really enjoyed the poker and liar's dice mini games though.

Whenever you find one of the treasures, the chest contains the next treasure map. Check your inventory, it replaced your last map.

If you plan on getting 100% in the game, you have to buy all of the rooms. Plus it's nice to have lots of places to stay, every room you buy has a chest to resupply ammo.
