I finally finished it this morning after about 3 weeks or so break from the game. By the end I was a little tired of all the escort missions, but overall it was a lot of fun to stay focused on the main plot. Now I'll probably do more side quests, mini-games, and take part in random mayhem in general (no xbox live though).

And a big thank you to Amazon for the $20 GC + the $35 golden guns code. :D

Edit - Another thing: Many times throughout the game it was like I was playing The Wild Bunch, which isn't a bad thing.

Edit 2 - Wow, just 'finished' the game where I got the ending credits. That's kind of a semi-satisfying way to tie things up. Also, surprisingly it took only about 15 hours of game play to complete the main story with 67% complete.

I just finished the game - 22 hours @ 92% completion.

Overall an awesome game - I just wish it didn't end so abruptly.

Free co-op DLC is supposed to hit tomorrow. If it does, I'll most likely be playing in the evening.

I gotta borrow this from the neighbor lol, he never plays it. He is stuck on mw2 and can't get off it. I think he played rdr for maybe 2hours the day he got it and it's been about 2weeks now since he originally got the game...

* Introducing a new projectile weapon: the Tomahawk, with corresponding challenges for single-player and multiplayer gameplay;
* New achievements and trophies;
* Pricing: $9.99 (PlayStation Network), 800 Microsoft Points (Xbox LIVE).

Liars and Cheats Pack

* Play as the heroes and villains of Red Dead Redemption, as well as 8 additional multiplayer characters;
* Multiplayer versions of Liars Dice and Poker from the single-player game;
* Introducing a new weapon: the Explosive Rifle, with associated challenges available in single-player and multiplayer gameplay;
* New achievements and trophies;
* Pricing: $9.99 (PlayStation Network), 800 Microsoft Points (Xbox LIVE).

Free Roam Pack

Delve deeper into the world of Red Dead Redemption with new modes, challenges and gang hideouts to discover:

* Release date: TBC;
* Additional Free Roam challenges;
* New action areas and defensive placements;
* Posse scoring and leaderboards;
* New anti-griefing measures in Free Roam;
* Pricing: TBC.

Undead Nightmare Pack

Ghost towns and cemeteries come alive in a West gone horribly wrong:

* Release date: TBC;
* Brand new single-player adventure, challenges and quests;
* 8 new multiplayer zombie characters;
* Additional animals unleashed in the world;
* New dynamic events and more;
* Pricing: $9.99 (PlayStation Network), 800 Microsoft Points (Xbox LIVE).

More details on these upcoming packs and other updates will be revealed closer to each release.

I'm not one for DLC but given that I've already put 150 hours into this game (and I'm still playing it) I might be OK with some pay-DLC. I should cringe at the cliche zombie DLC but that actually sounds like it could be a lot of fun, especially with more single player content.

I wondered why they didn't let you play the games like liar's dice and poker through multiplayer... now I know, they wanted to charge more for it. I was hoping for more full blown expansions like The Lost and Damned for GTA, but I guess maybe the Undead pack will be a new story or something.

DLC makes me laugh. I am quite content to start buying games 2 years after they release from now on, as I will with RDR.

Gamestop site is dying. You can try ebgames.com as well. I've been trying this since about 10:55AM. Basically I'm stuck right now waiting on 'Proceed to Checkout'. It keeps dying.

I did see that Vivi got in one for one...

By the way, I think you need a $25 order to use SAVER. Up to you on whether fighting this site to make an extra couple of bucks is worth it or not. Shipping is $3.

Gadzooks, ~$40 worth of upcoming DLC? No thanks, unless the Free Roam one is just a few bucks. I haven't played this in weeks after getting bored roaming back and forth across Mexico, and multi got old fast.

Just bought this game yesterday after finally finishing Mass Effect 2. Wow. I'm only about 5 hours in but can tell this is going to be epic.

Picked up this game the other day from BB. They had it on sale for 44.99 figured I'd give it a whirl.

Other than the controls annoying the ever living shit out of me, ala GTA so for it seems really cool, but I'm only about 6 missions into it.

If you're having problems on horseback, go into the options and change the controls to "horse relative" and see if you like it any better.
