Never seen NYC like this. It's a virtual ghost town. I used to go to the gym every day after I burned out my feet and legs from running 20+ miles every other day until October. Now the gyms are closed and I'm back on the streets. Love the fact that there are no tourists. Personally, I got a cold last December. Then, for the past week I've had cold-like symptoms but no coughing or runny nose. If this is the Chinese virus (no way am I going to a hospital where I'm sure to get it), then it's no big deal. I've been running 10+ miles since Tuesday because no more gym and I have zero breathing issues. I'm assuming it's the Chinese virus because 1) I've already had the cold back in December 2) I've never had the flu or taken flu shots and 3) I rarely ever get the cold so...Anyway, my point is, and as has been pointed out many times, this virus is really no big deal if you're healthy. What the government should be doing is, instead of trying to prevent the spread among the general public and cratering the economy, they should be protecting those most vulnerable. Our reaction to this virus will destroy more lives than the virus itself. Hopefully, government comes to its senses sooner rather than later.
