Now they are talking about a 2 trillion dollar economic package. Guess it's only a matter of time now before the US Government goes bankrupt.
Everyone has their respective lobbying groups that they all want a piece of the pie from

Yeah it’s all a crap shoot with the symptoms. I could have it but have never met the non celebrity testing requirements.

I have had a low grade fever(99.2- 99.8) on and off every day for 10 days now. Taking Tylenol would lower it some and it would be awhile before it crept back up. So far nothing today. Early on I had a mild sore throat only on day one and headaches for the first few days. I’ve had digestive issues the past five days, and I’ve had very mild lung congestion since day 3. No sinus issues. No sinus draining. No cough.

Could be corona? Could be something else? Could be stress? I haven’t been taking chances and have been isolating and social distancing since last Friday.

Fast food is drive through only, but some people don't have cars. Will they start allowing bicycle, motorcycle, or walk thru?

Hmmm

There's some stupid insurance rule that won't allow them to do it. They really need to lift that rule temporary but insurance companies can be a bunch of cunts with their arbitrary rules. It's an issue for transport drivers too, they can't go through there with their truck.

Don't lower fevers unless they are dangerously high. The fever is activating your immune system. By taking Tylenol you merely slow your immune system's response and prolong the sickness.

Everyone keeps worrying about stocking the stores for people to buy...

... But what about when supply chain hits a crunch and they aren't able to produce these products fast Enough because so many workers are out globally?

I get the feeling when cases ramp up in LATAM we will start to feel the pain more.

FDA has given Cepheid approval to use their platform for automated rapid testing, results take less than an hour. The big upside is that these systems are largely in healthcare facilities not the big centralized labs so time from test to results for people would be much shorter.

Some progress.

I stopped monthly payment on my gym memebership yesterday. I know the owner might be upset, but I've got think about conserving as much of my money as possible. Plus, the gym is closed anyway. Cost was about $43 a month. I hope he understands. I'm also looking at other ways to cut expenses. Are you guys doing anything differently? Have you budgeted? Gotten rid of services that you really don't need. Thnak god I don't have a car payment. If I can keep my biils at about $1200 a month I'll be good. That includes rent, electricity, food, supplements, phone, car/ health insurance, etc. Mostly essential stuff.

BTW, I'm whiteboarding my COVID-19 plan for next month. That's exercise, nutrition, finances, career, spirtual, etc. Might be a good plan to do guys.

People in my city really aren't taking this seriously. Someone posted a picture of the grocery store parking lot FULL. It's not even that full on a normal day.

o_O You don't think there's slight chance the grocery store parking lot is FULL because people are now panicking and taking this seriously? Nah, that can't be it. :D

Red Squirrel, I love you man but sometimes I worry about you.

The sky has been cloudy with continuous rain for days. The river is swollen to the brink. Drove past by the main road last night and most of the businesses were closed or cut back except the grocery stores and pharmacy stores. The virus is still going on around. History Channel is showing "Dark Age". Depressing.

If they were taking it seriously they would actually be following the social distancing recommendations by NOT going to public places. We had weeks to prepare for this. Stay home.

I'm going to keep linking the live stream that attempts real time updates because YouTube is suppressing it and promoting freebooted streams instead:

I found it very difficult to find on the Apple TV. Wasn't possible to search for even with the exact name. Had to know the channel and search that, then see the channel's content to find the stream. That's a shame because this guy put a ton of work into this!

Anyway, the US cases fell back behind Iran after some updates but is now solidly ahead of Iran. Just saw it go over 300k confirmed cases worldwide within the last hour. Currently it's around 304k. About to pass 13k deaths. :(

As macabre as it is, it's mesmerizing to watch. A bit like watching old-skool Windows 98 Disk Defragmenter in the detailed view.

I didn’t really take them to lower the fever. I took them to get rid of the headaches. I can only take stuff that contains Tylenol so it’s my only option for pain relief. I haven’t taken it most days only the first few.

I already put together a daily routine I plan to follow. I’m also a teacher so I still have to work from home 8hrs a day. Some of which will be real time lecturing for college level courses. Fortunately I’ll at least be getting pay checks through August. Same with my wife. Also working on a masters degree so I have school work to do.

Right now my wife and I will be fine. Hopefully things start to normalize by August.

Texas is simply fucking hilarious.

So bars, restaurants, pubs, etc... have to shut down and go to-go orders or delivery only.

BUT - the one caveat our Governor made was that in this emergency, they are now allowed to serve you Beer/Wine/Drinks to go.

You can tell what our priorities are during these difficult times hahaha.

I just got 3 32oz crowler cans of beer delivered to my door fresh from a tap of delicious 12% stouts. nom nom nom.

Connecticut did the same thing. It makes sense, though... if you completely cut off alcohol, you're probably going to have a lot of pissed off alcoholics in the streets and potentially riots on your hand when they start breaking into bars and package stores to get their fix.

Honestly, hoarding a couple weeks worth of groceries probably wouldn't be a bad idea right now. When the grocery store and warehouse workers start getting sick, they're going to have to shut down those facilities to decontaminate them. That's going to cause more shortages.

Of course, the press or government agencies would never tell you this, because it would only make existing panic worse.

In this ever changing world, it's good to know that some things remain the same. Florida Man will not be deterred.

$0.99 each? You'd think a hotel would get them cheaper than that. Heck, my local flea market had commercial 2-ply rolls for $0.33ea last weekend.

Speaking of the flea market, my brother went against my advice and found a pack of Cold-Eeze for $2. Some people just don't know what they have. :)

He said the vendor also had "Cold-Eeze + Defense" but that's probably just the same thing with Vitamin C (doesn't actually do anything for immune defense).

Starting to hit close to home. My buddy's uncle just died from it in Italy. Early 60's & no underlying conditions. RIP :(

Nearly 5,000 dead over there. Almost double 9/11. Really awful :(
