Never mind that Mueller guy - It's time to bomb Syria!

Obama weighing in on going into Syria and a chemical attack happens. Drumpf announces pulling out of Syria within months and within days of that announcement a chemical attack happens. What a coincidence.

I mean seroiusly. The two chemical attacks that have happened in this conflict revolve around two different presidents not wanting to get involved or leaving the area 6 years apart. The odds of that happening are astronomical.

Apparently there are some extremely powerful entities that want us in the Middle East permanently and they will never let us leave. It is inconceivable to me that the United States government/military would be so corrupt as to initiate a false flag incident. It is VERY conceivable to me that the rebels would. I am not sure what to believe other than we will NEVER leave the Middle East and we will NEVER stop bombing them. I would like a United Nations investigation and if necessary a United Nations response. I do not consider America an honest broker for anything regarding the Middle East.

Also, US is not alone in calling for military action against Syria, France is fully backing the play as well. UK is on the fence though they said they would do what is necessary to stop the chemical strikes.

Are you interested in somebody providing any evidence that it was actually Assad? How were rebels eliminated as suspects? Assad literally had nothing to win and everything to lose by initiating a gas attack. Does it make any rational sense?

I don't believe Trump's base supports spending ANY taxpayer money in other countries and that goes double for starting any war or giving a crap about what those people over there do to themselves.
Caring about Muslims is not in their nature.
So far, Trump has resisted taking this path of presidents past.
If Trump changes his mode of operation and starts tinkering around in the Middle East with American lives and American tax money, Trump's base will not be pleased. No they will not!
Up until now Donald Trump has understood this. But now Donald has that Bush - Cheney war monger on board i.e. John Bolton.
If Trump chooses war, absolutely John Bolton was behind that decision.
Trump listens to his base above all else. What Trump hears from Bolton is in direct conflict with Donald Thump supporters and could be the beginning of the end as far as John Bolton goes.

If you read my previous post, you will see I already mentioned that.

What's even more stupid is that you think us standing down is going to prevent Russia from stepping up the shit they're pulling. It won't. That's why we need to make sure they understand we won't just sit by while they perpetrate genocide and actively undermine our country.

I've posted this before. No, I'm not calling for us to go rolling into Syria like we did Iraq. But we damn sure need to not sit by while stuff like this goes on, or else you might as well just surrender to Russia now to stave off WW3 if you're going to be that much of a coward about it.

Frankly if Russia wants to bleed themselves out over Syria, let them. America should not be involved.

Speaking of genocide, what is the body count in Yemen now? America is covered in blood with regards to it. Trump just sold a shit ton more weapons to the Saudis.

It is a weird kind of ethics we have reached when we can blithely characterize killing and bombing Muslims as "caring" for them. It is moral and right to support United Nations safe zones and humanitarian areas within these regions. Given America's blatant and grotesque partisanship in favor of the terrorist Saudi regime it is neither right nor moral for it to be meting any kind of "justice" in the region .

It's like deja-vu, all over again.

Concerning Khan Sheikhoun last year.

"Lost in the hyper-politicized hullabaloo surrounding the Nunes Memorandum and the Steele Dossier was the striking statement by Secretary of Defense James Mattis that the U.S. has “no evidence” that the Syrian government used the banned nerve agent Sarin against its own people."

#BREAKING NEWS: #Russia's MOD has asked #Iran to provide access to #IRIAF's 3rd Tactical Fighter Base in #Hamedan to deploy its heavy bombers (probably Tu-22 or Tu-95), Il-78 tankers & use it as refuelling point for fighter jets which are planned to be deployed to #Syria soon!

BREAKING NEWS: Chinese warships in Mediterranean are ordered to join the Russian navy in the event of a massive attack on Syria.

This time the stakes are immensely higher. Will good sense prevail or do we start the descent to hell?

Shocking France would want us to get involved. Libya was a direct result of the then French president wanting to display French military prowess in the med. So we obliged him and the people of Libya have been suffering ever since.

And if we want to get down to it. France and Britain are on the main reasons why the ME is a total shatshow for the last 100 years. Syria was a direct result of their meddling\backstabbing. I think listening to their ideas on the area should be tossed into the dustbin of history, like their former empires.

I have very little confidence the CIA wouldnt have a hand in this at the behest of others who want us to get into a pissing match with Russia over Syria. It is what they do, and they do it well.

I wonder what this picture means

I don't think the phrase "rational sense" can be used when talking about Assad. He's been using chemical weapons almost constantly with almost no repercussions. Why should he stop now? It was a very effective way to tell people that they need to GTFO now. Does it make sense to him? Sure. Is it rational? It's Assad, enough said.

https://www.hrw.org/news/2018/04/04/syria-year-chemical-weapons-attacks-persist

(Beirut) – International efforts to deter chemical attacks in Syria in the year since the devastating sarin attack on Khan Sheikhoun on April 4, 2017, have been ineffective, Human Rights Watch said today. Human Rights Watch has collated and analyzed evidence of chemical weapons attacks in Syria between August 21, 2013, the day of the deadliest chemical weapon attack in Syria to date, and February 25, 2018, when the Syrian government used chlorine in the besieged enclave of Eastern Ghouta.

The information, based on data from seven sources, shows that the Syrian government is responsible for the majority of 85 confirmed chemical weapon attacks. The data also show that the Syrian government has been largely undeterred by the efforts of the United Nations Security Council, the international Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), and unilateral action by individual countries to enforce the prohibition on Syria’s use of chemical weapons.

“In Syria, the government is using chemical weapons that are banned the world over without paying any price,” said Lama Fakih, deputy Middle East director at Human Rights Watch. “One year after the horrific sarin attack on Khan Sheikhoun, neither the UN Security Council nor the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons has acted to uphold the prohibition against chemical weapon attacks.”

While I see that regime is at it again, at the same time the U.S. is nearly out of Syria militarily; I do not want to have another Afghanistan or Iraq type conflict on the shoulders of our military. Remember, we are still in Afghanistan still. The EU along with rest of the developed country has offer condemnation but no military action. We are still fighting ISIS in North Africa with SF troops and drone strikes. We need to stay out of Syria too! Why have another Afghanistan on are hands in Syria? We are still trying to get out of Iraq too. Just too many potential long drawn out actions that maybe over 25 years in the making here. We have already spend 14 years in Vietnam, 20 years plus in Afghanistan and 12 years in Iraq. I say, let them fight it out!

That picture means there is a flight advisory for commercial airlines to stay out of syrian airspace for like 72 hours.

Of course you would. The little airplane symbols and their paths should require little to no explanations for the way the flight paths appear, yet you seem unable to deduce why......oh, yeah, I do understand Comrade.

He's lost his mind. Markets are crashing. He just threatened to bomb another country on twitter and described the weapons as "nice and smart". WTF?

His words don't even make sense. What is a "Gas Killing Animal"? Why is it all capitalized? Holy shit why can't the CIA get rid of this maniac before he kills us all!?!?

I think Trump is actually upset because he wanted to conduct the strike last night but Russia made real threats and perhaps even started lighting up coalition aircraft with its radars.

He just telegraphed the whole operation to the Russians with that tweet. It's obvious we are sending Cruise Missiles now.

Hopefully cooler head prevail and Syria is left alone. If Trump sends cruise missiles now Russia can easily shoot them down with BUK Panstir and S400 along with their Su-30SM fighters. The problem is that the US fields over 140 cruise missiles from a single submarine which is enough to saturate air defenses. It would be a billion dollar strike to do so but it is definitely doable for the US if they really want to do it.

Jesus Christ, this was my fear about Trump all along....that if cornered and/or faced with a military crisis, he'd act like the ignorant childish bully he is. He's taunting a nuclear power like a streetball player trash talking that he's going to dunk on someone....I hope to hell the generals can reign him in, as he's apparently gone nuts...and how scary is that, to hope that people trained to kill their whole career can be the voice of reason.

Likely the new M.O. of telegraphing his intentions when he said we are leaving Syria "very soon" was a catalyst for the gas attacks.
