He just upped the ante this morning!

Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria. Get ready Russia, because they will be coming, nice and new and “smart!” You shouldn’t be partners with a Gas Killing Animal who kills his people and enjoys it!

Smart in a Trump kind of way? Does blathering incoherently help jam radar or something?

God, can you imagine being the target of such a missile? It's probably kind of like that Valkyries scene out of 'Apocalypse Now' but you just hear Trump talking on loop at eardrum-challenging volumes. It doesn't have to hit anywhere (similar to Trump in that it doesn't successfully get to any kind of coherent point)! Terrifying.

Likely the new M.O. of telegraphing his intentions when he said we are leaving Syria "very soon" was a catalyst for the gas attacks.
Well at least asking Sarah if Trump plans to attack NK or anything else is fair game. This is a mistake on Putin's part, not his bumping heads with Trump but not understanding that Trump is about Trump only. Putin can manipulate him, but it must be about things care about, himself. The Orange Killer Robot is on the loose and Putin's remote control isn't working.

Not only do we have a warmongering President, he's a complete moron too!
God help the United States, and the World.

Donald Trump should have been a greeter at Walmart, not President. Apologies to Walmart greeters.

Wasn't there many people who supported Trump because they were worried that Clinton would declare a no-fly zone over Syria?

I don't know, but Hillary was a hawk.

Just watch Huckabee. Even she couldn't spin anything. She just completely went with completely irrelevant statements.

Shit man, everybody is a hawk, including 90% of the people on this forum. Pacifism is way too underrated.

Doesn’t Syria have a super fancy Russian air defense system now? I doubt we’re going to bomb anything major that’s well protected if that’s the case.
That's what the Tomahawks are for. Use them to knock out air defenses, then you can bring in manned airplanes from a carrier or 2 to do real damage. Not a fan of this as we should all know by now, there is no winning of anything over there.

Speaking of tomahawks .. British subs are moving into missile striking distance in Syria right now.
This could get bad.

Both 2016 campaigns vowed a war in Syria.

In this regard the primary difference was the uncertainty around Trump. It could have gone either way. It's gone bad. Real bad.

It's fake. That video footage is fake. Victims may be real, but either they are not victims of a chemical attack or like you said, the chemical weapons were used by someone other than Syria or Russia to incite conflict and war. It's been done before many times. Those white helmets, have been known to lie many times in the past.

link please.

There were two candidates in the 2016 election that were not hawks. A left and right candidate. But the lemmings attacked them because they were taking away votes from their potential war monger n chief.

If America escalates this and collapses the Syrian government.

Well whatever happens, I am relatively certain that this little gas attack in Syria is going to help some American military contractors make their nut. What do you think, $50 million of smart bombs in response? $100 million? Or how about the ultimate wet dream of a serious interaction with the Russians and BILLIONS in ordinance? We have powerful financial interests that profit from fomenting war and who have far too much influence on American foreign policy.

The only coherent part of American foreign policy that I can detect is the tendency to bomb first (with hideously expensive hardware) and ask questions later. Lately we have just gone to bombing and not asking questions at all. I don't think we will ever disengage from the Middle East. There is just too much money to be made murdering people over there. Paint a bad guy sign, bomb, rinse, repeat, profit.

Team Assad made the mistake of using gas to kill people when he was supposed to use conventional explosives.
He could wiped out 50 people with a barrel bomb and it wouldn't even be news worthy in the US. We don't approve of any deaths unless its followed by massive destruction. You can't youtube a chemical weapons attack. It's boring. We want splosions.
Let that be a warning to any country on Israels sh*tlist. Make your civil wars splodey or else we are going to launch stuff from our flying robot force.

Hell, the US could have wiped out 50 people in a drone strike and it might not even make the news here. We'd issue an "They were all ISIS'ish and Assad must step down. and Iran. Iran did this because they are destabilizing the region. So this is all Iran's fault that we killed one guy with a rifle and 49 people who happened to look like the type of people who may carry a rifle. (Followed by FoxNews editorial that makes claim that Iran is killing dozens of Syrians and maybe gearing up for a nuclear strike on Israel...home of the Jesus trilogy" statement provided to us by AIPAC. They do give out awesome t-shirts for every 15 press releases so that's a bonus.

Russia can carpet bomb an entire block and no one would give a shit. They'd do their standard "Was the terrorist who did that. We weren't even there that day. Probably the US backed forces that dropped those Soviet era dumb bombs from TU-22 flying at about 30,000 feet. subscribe to our youtube channel to watch our glorious modern Airforce from the 90's drop dumb bombs on the terrorists (in other part of country)"

10 people show signs of chemical burns and the US starts preparing to send in the Jem' Hadar.

It is a ridiculous distinction. The only reasonable basis I can see is that a big chemical strike could kill a lot of people fast and you need to strongly deter even limited use.
